This unique restaurant is the most romantic dining option within the island where guests can enjoy the most luxurious setting amongst the tree tops which is perfect for an occasion to demonstrate one's love for each other. Guests can enjoy a menu inspired by Executive Chef, Azizskandar Awang that encompasses carefully selected high quality fresh products brought together on your plate with all the years of his experience. The menu is complemented with our extensive wine list which will be carefully explained by our in house Wine Guru.
I want to preface this review by saying I have dined at many, many, fine dining institutions and michelin starred restaurants, and perhaps this affects my review as I am comparing Tree Tops to world class restaurants (because that was the impression I was given by the marketing and reviews here).
The other reason I rate it at this level is because pricewise, at over $190USD a meal, that's what it should've delivered. Unfortunately this was not the case.
To be fair, there was nothing wrong with the meal, but it was definitely not anything special. The service was strictly routine, and impersonal, so much so that napkins were not folded when various members left for bathroom breaks etc.
We had the full, most expensive degustation in the restaurant - which you would've thought would be their showcasing feature, but it was such a dump and go experience, they even changed waitresses three times. Do you know why I don't know any of the waitresses' names? It's because no one introduce themselves, and more importantly, they were served as if it was a high class chinese restaurant in any major city in the world (i.e. dropped plate with just a name, no explanations).
People may say this should've been redeemed by the atmosphere and the view but in all honestly (and ironically), the view was interrupted by the trees.
This restaurant is most definitely a hotel restaurant, and not a world class restaurant. Maybe it never aimed to be, but then it should lower the prices or at least be on par with price ranges on Koh Samui.
Would I dine here again?
Not for this price, and really the restaurant should've learnt from other much better serviced institutions on the island e.g. the Page.

Homestyle Thai food cooked only with fresh ingredients. NO MSG. Family run business. Vegetarian friendly. spicy level can be adjusted to your liking.
Good service right in the heart to things; yet, even better, it is nicely located on a quieter side street. Had two curries that were crafted well: both vegetarian with a good variety of vegetables and tofu with a side of rice. Great food, yet very spicey - I ordered medium, which I always do, yet wow- bang - and I am a spice fanatic daily. Order a mild with the curries is recommended ;-)

Located in the center of Chaweng Beach, the most famous city in Koh Samui, our Scandinavian Restaurant is nested. We are a personal lounge style venue where you can enjoy Scandinavian Specialties, Thai Food or just a drink while enjoying the busy beach road below.
This was our favourite place for breakfast during our stay at Samui. We we trying more Asian food, but breakfast had to be normal))) English breakfast is great with mushrooms and nicely fried eggs. For Earl grey tea lovers they have only English Breakfast, not many tea options. Hope to be back there next vacation.

It's simply Thai cuisine open kitchen with different varieties of famous Thai menus and dishes from the old days... Fresh selections of ingredients daily from the local market.. With regular quality control. Simplified homemade recipes. Recommend reserve your table from 19:00-20:30 pm. Available for private cooking class. Please contact chef.
I'm really picky about thai food, and I love this place. Best thai I've had in the Chaweng area, by far (and I've tried most of the top-ranked places). A nice location away from the craziness on the beach, and a very pleasant, upscale, open air Seating area.
The menu is phenomenal. It has all the classics, plus many interesting, less common choices. In three meals here, my favorites were the massaman beef curry and grilled eggplant with ground pork. Both had the clarity and intensity of flavor that characterizes outstanding thai cooking. I also enjoyed the coconut ice cream. Other items were all good, but didn't reach the same level. For the quality of food, the prices are totally fair.
Service can be a little hit or miss, but when it's on, it's excellent. In any event, the food is well worth any unevenness in service.
I do wish they would confine the smokers to a limited area. This is a problem throughout Chaweng.

Was pleasantly surprised to find such an outstanding Greek restaurant on an island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand. Walked by the place a number of times and finally couldn’t resist, as living in SE Asia doesn’t give once the opportunity to eat Greek cuisine all that often. Was blown away by the quality and freshness of the food, especially the Mezze starter platter for two which was almost a meal in itself. Greek owner who was present during service was very attentive and went around to each table to ask how the food was. That’s a winner in my book. Chef is allegedly Greek, though I can’t confirm this but the food was fantastic and some of the best Greek food I’ve had outside of Greece. It sounds like a cliché but if you think about the fact that you are on Koh Samui, as far from the Mediterranean as possible, and you can eat authentic Greek food, life is good. I hope this place does well and stays in business a long time. I also wish I had eaten there sooner and not during my last night on Koh Samui, because now I won’t have a chance to go back anytime soon. There are so many average to below-average restaurants on Koh Samui, especially in the Chaweng area. Why not do yourself a favor and try something different that will really excite your senses, even if you aren’t familiar with Greek food. You can’t go wrong.

Authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of Koh Samui. Our food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and love. You can create your own pasta with different ingredients. Come for lunch or dinner and enjoy delicious food, relaxing & cozy atmosphere and friendly staff!
This is a 4.5 out of 5. Visited this place on the recommendation of TripAdvisor reviews and placing. Fresh pasta with excellent choice of ingredients, three separate pasta dishes delivered to us promptly and of excellent taste. A French Italian chef who knows his stuff.
Pleasant staff, and the food was excellent. Starters and mains very much enjoyed.
If it’s a quiet night you enjoy, then perhaps this High Street is not the location for you, as the passing advertising Tannoys and loudspeakers are an irritant. But please don’t let that put you off the excellent food on offer.

Siam Dreams is a cozy family-run restaurant in the northern part of Chaweng. We offer Thai & Seafood as well as European dishes. We have a Thai menu for vegetarians and vegans. We do not us MSG (monosodium glutamate) and tofu (unfortunately in Thailand most tofu is GMO) in our dishes. Thai dishes can be ordered mild, medium or thai spicy up to your own taste! Enjoy cocktails, draft beer, fruit shakes, fresh fruit juices or delicious Italian ice cream on our large outdoor Terrace in comfortable lounge chairs. Please not that if you visit us on a busy night or order the 5 course Thai Set menu it may take some time as all our thai dishes are prepared fresh! We offer private Thai Cooking classes with our chef Aood several days a week! On the weekend we show live sport events such as Formula 1, Bundesliga, Premier League on a big screen. We hope you have a great time at Siam Dreams Restaurant!
Title says it all really! Owner/chef made vegan dishes for my wife and my seafood green curry was superb. Only thing they could've improved a little was the speed of service both times we were there but I was happy to sup on a beer...MoreHi Chume thank you a lot for your review. we will try to fix the speed !! hope to see you again Patrick

Sala Thai Restaurant is the authentic Thai restaurant. Our experienced chef proudly presents you our Thai cuisine / Thai menu local style / vegetarian food using fresh ingredients, herbs & vegetables from our garden / daily fresh seafood from local market also European food. Thank you very Much Best Regards Sala Thai Team
We ate here for 2 evenings. The staff are very friendly and the service is really efficient. There is a small, live Thai band which plays at the back of the restaurant and provides a really lovely atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the coconut prawns, green & wild curry (best curries we experience whilst in Koh Samui)! Highly recommended.
