I came in on my own and just ordered and appy for myself. The spinach artichoke dip. It was served on a small shallow dish. There definitely isn't enough dip for the pita it came with. Sad. BP is going downhill. I find it quite...MoreHi TheoneCyberfox, we're sorry you didn't appreciate your food and we would like the chance to look into this for you. Cuisine of India..Authentic Indian Cuisine in Castlegar, BC and Cranbrook, BC
I have come for meals here for the past 7 years. was surprised when ordering Vegetable Pakora tasted warm, slightly soggy and filled with what I think is smashed chick peas. Very chalky tastjng. Also on the table was Butter Chicken, Paneer & Garlic Naan. Very surprised that while ordered medium spice there was no flavour.
I drive 2.5 hrs. To enjoy this food. SO disappointed.

Before the name " the wandering
Greek oven" it was simply called "the Greek oven, The quality and wait times was far better than it is now. One of our dishes was Ribs. they were so tough you had to fight to get the meat off the bone. Another was Salmon on this one the Salmon could not have been more than four ounces. Prices have gone up[ not surprised} and quality down .When we went in to the restaurant there were only a few people and our order was taken then. The wait time was over an hour before we got our meal [ pretty basic meals not requiring a lot of prep work. Not likely to return!

I cannot believe how rude the lady was that took our order! She's the older lady that works here and I have never been treated so poorly in my life! Start to finish she had a terrible attitude. I would never in my life return to this place because of her. Hire better people Tim Horton's, she's an absolutely terrible human being.
I ordered water but was rudely told that the truck wasn't here with the shipment so she had no water in the place. I asked for a green tea and asked if I could get sweetener or sugar and was literally yelled at by her saying "which one!?" And then when I went back to order timbits to go she had nothing but attitude. Absolutely horrible.

Ate at this restaurant twice while working in Castlegar for a couple of days. First day was for lunch and we ordered the chinese lunch special combo. The portion size was huge and very reasonably priced. Both of us enjoyed it very much and could barely finish it.
That evening, I returned and ordered sushi, which was all very delicious. The size of the fish pieces on the Nigiri was acceptable, and the California roll was very nice with with some avocado pieces in the roll.
Service was prompt, the staff was friendly and the décor was comfortable. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

I have eaten here a few times while waiting for a passenger or a flight, but just ate breakfast here the other day and had to comment on how great it was. The breakfast wrap was huge and very good, the breakfast on a bun was also excellent, with fresh spinach. Food is all homemade, lots of choices, good Russian baking. The prices are excellent. Worth going to even if you are not flying.

Waitress was super friendly and I sat in the bar section (didn't know there was a nice quiet restaurant section till I went to the washroom! Maybe next time :)) had a delicious meal and all well priced. Service was attentive and I would definitely go back.

We stopped here on a roadtrip to Lethbridge. This smaller restaurant had excellent fresh cooked food. Our chowdef was delicious and hot. The fish and chips were beautifully cooked. Our waitress was very efficient and so friendly. I'd stop here again with my family in tow!

The restaurant will be closed for public from November 1st till April 1st.
Open for hotel guest everyday. Just let know at the reception you would like to dine in.
Chameleon Restaurant-a fully licensed family restaurant,- is located down town in the center of Castlegar in the previous-once famous -Marlane Hotel, now Chameleon Hotel- with its own restaurant entrance. There is space for 39 people inside and a huge sunny licensed patio outside. The atmosphere is very intimate european. The food is all made from scratch and is major German and European like different Schnitzels, Bratwurst, Maultaschen Soup etc, but also incl. a variety of Spaghetti dishes,French dishes, Borsch, etc. The salads are all big chef salads and filling, and of course for the North Americans...home style Hamburgers. We speak english, german russian, romanian, french, open for lunch & dinner.
Went to this restaurant 4 times and each time the meal just wasn't very good. 1st I had a chicken meal and the chicken was dry and hard to chew, then I had the schnitzel and it too was dry with very little flavour. I went back again several months later and had a bowl of soup which I did eat 1/2 of it and could not finish. The next time I went the service was so so slow. After 30 mins of finally putting in my order and then another 15 min wait, I was told that I needed to order something else as they could not make what I ordered??? I did have to leave. Unfortunately, I probably will not return.
