In our palate can taste excellent dishes, but be patient, our cuisine is organic (charcoal), all meals are prepared at the time you order them, even view of the customer. For a pleasant stay we suggest options bar while listening to live music beautiful traditional trinitarian.
I was hungry and my other half wasn’t, but we had a great value meal here. There was spicy curry inspired food on the menu and lassi to drink. So we did. More yoghurt less alcohol! The music was gentle and attractive, and the whole...MoreHello We are very pleased to know that our kitchen has been your favorite, especially Indian dishes. This is a paladar in Trinidad.Local phone is 041998281
We popped in for lunch after first trying Paladar Museum, which was close the Sunday lunchtime we visited. The staff were busy cleaning the restaurant for the evening opening and I asked for a lunchtime recommendation. The young waiter spoke perfect English and directed me to Sol Ananda close by. What as wonderful recommendation. Eating here is like stepping back in time because you are surrounded by antiques and old furniture. The food is delicious and the waiting staff really friendly. Try the grilled fish, perfect. The Cuban style chicken is a really special, too (we always share each others food). Recommended.

Our Road Scholar tour saved the best for last! This dinner on our last night was elegant and delicious with excellent service. While not typically Cuban, my lobster and fish combo was perfectly cooked and a treat for the eyes as well as the palate.
The setting is beautiful, and the decor is inventive and interesting. Away from the town center, the location might be a bit difficult to find on your own, but I am sure pedicab drivers know the way. Do check before you go to be sure they are open; we were told that the family has the restaurant for sale.

How could we not go into a restaurant with this super cool name! Better still, live music and with only a few tables and guests, quite intimate compared to other nearby tourist venues. The food was good value and quality. The beer was cold and the staff attentive. How many places in the world do you get a complimentary Cuban cigar at the meals end instead of an after dinner mint. Wake up, shake your butt and go visit the Wakey Wakey Shakey Shakey!

A beautiful restaurant in colonial house that bring you back in time.
The tables are well dressed (old China, silver forks and knives), the interior is beautifully decorated with old oil lamps and little statues while a band is playing typical Cuban music.
It is clear this restaurant is fancier (and pricier) than your average restaurant in Trinidad.
The service is very professional. Waiters are well dressed and have attention to detail.
We had spicy chicken and a porc steak for dinner. Although the both plates were tasty and well presented, both chicken and porc were over cooked. I expected better especially given everything else was good.

Es el unico restaurante en Trinidad que oferta comidas japonesas ( sushis ) ofertamos el ceviche peruano. Nos especializamos en mariscos.
We came at the busy dinner period- service was slow and a bit confused. The food was extremely average- very plain and not a lot of flavour. We went vegetarian, and i'd say this is NOT their specialty.

One of the local staff at our hotel recommended this place to us, we would never have found it on our own. We were hesitant driving through a local village which was half way between Trinidad and Playa Ancon but we were so pleasantly surprised on arrival. It had a beautiful outdoor setting, and an open kitchen so you could watch your meals be prepared and cooked. The staff were lovely and the food was the best we had in Trinidad. They butterflied the lobster on the grill and had a range of sauces you could choose from. Prices are more expensive than what you might pay in the village, but for lobster I found it very reasonable. It was worth the taxi ride and great to escape to a local spot away from the really touristy areas. It felt like an authentic experience.

The Hostal-Restaurant La Rosa is located on the main street of the town of Casilda, a quiet and safe fisherman's harbor located in the bay of the same name and bathed by the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea. Due to its location, the town is also located at a strategic point, just 10 minutes from the center of the historical city of Trinidad, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1988, and 10 minutes from the Ancon Peninsula, where you can enjoy from the Beaches and interesting places to do snorkling and other nautical activities. In the Hostal itself there is a small but cozy restaurant in which you can taste the typical dishes of the traditional cuisine of the town, with fresh products extracted from the sea, prepared by your host Adrián Tamayo Petersen.
I highly recommend Hostal La Rosa in the area around Trinidad. Very good room conditions with ac and bathroom, great sea food and drinks in the restaurant in reasonable prices. The owners are one of the nicest people we met on our trip, they can organize any transport you want, including a trip to the beautiful national park near Trinidad with a guide.
You can easly communicate with the owners in English which is unusual in Cuba.
