The Restorante was the origin of La Guarida Hotel Gourmet & Spa and today is its star. There are not many tables: that allows a quiet chat and a deep enjoyment of the flavors, aromas and textures. It is a gourmet restaurant, which also takes into account those who need low calorie or vegetarian menus. Our chef, Federico Schiraldi, won the 2nd place in the Cordoba Cuisine Contest of the Province of Córdoba and won the 2nd Prize in the Best Regional Dish category. 2010. In addition, it is the only restaurant in the province rated 5 stars by the newspaper La Voz del Interior
I've been in many restaurants all over the world (China, Kenya, Peru, Canada, etc) and the experience of this place was unique.
From the beginning, Carloa welcomes you on the restaurant and he delivers you to your table: nothing way to fancy or glamorous, just the warm welcoming to the hotel with the speech and the explanation of the places.
Minutes later and after ordering a couple of drinks, the chef of the house comes to your table -with a giant smile on his face- starts to offer you and suggest you all the products and recipes available in his kitchen. The impressive moment on this place is this section. I was desperate to try the fish here and he suggested tha trout was the best choice from the region. My taste goes for mushrooms, cheese and milk, well he mastered a delicate and exquisite sauce with all the ingredients I suggested to cover the amazing fish I wanted to try. To accompany it, he had the splendid idea of place a potato soufflé that made the perfect match.
Recurrently the chef (Christian was his name) came to our table to be 100% sure that the choice was the adequate for our taste. He did the same for the other 3 tables at the place.
The encore of this amazing meal was a Hazelnut with chocolate sauce soufflé which had an overwhelming generous taste. Exquisite.
I 100% recommend this place to any visitor here. Just make sure to call in advance since this place only take Reservations.
This is the perfect place to go in couples.
Thanks

He knew that he waits to you for consents with a gastronomic proposal thought by a cooker and a pastry cheff, whose more important target is that you eat richly and well The gastronomic experience is changed and dynamic, he invites to enjoy a breakfast, has an afternoon snack, lunch or dinner of different tones. Offering you options as a tea has dinner, plates of fresh fruit, American breakfast, toasts of home-made bread and organic jams. Quite accompanied by the richest and originals fruit drinks, frapuccinos, warm chocolate, coffees or exquisite blends. The sándwiches present before themselves with different handmade breads and distinctive products in combination of a suitable skill of cooking. For the lunch and the dinner Martin (the executive chef) they invite them to prove plates designed for different occasions. This year inaguran the bar with beers and a new letter of gulps motivating the meeting.
Being terribly British here, this excellent cafe has a good range of real tea and actually offers afternoon and high tea!
Having said that we went for dinner ( they offer breakfasts too, based on our experience its all good), had a spinach n ricotta strudel with fresh carrot salad and ravioli al forno. Both very well done, and decent portion. We followed up with pavlova, which was home made and came with excellent blueberry ice cream, the meringue was just slightly too refined, good pistachio mousse. Service friendly and helpful and in English! Tea, so good to get a choice, had a very good oolong. We were all set to go back, but they shut the next day! Highly recommend.

We were very priviledged to have eaten at this resturant. It is beautiful inside, the owners are so gracious, kind and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful. It is a ways out of town but worth the drive. The appetisers were delicious with the best wine I have ever tasted. The food cooked by the owner who trained at the best schools. We were given a choice of beef or teout. The trout is raised on the land and we has so many sauces to choose from. The meal was superb with vegetables and wine. The desserts were so good I ordered one to go home. We had the restaurant to ourselves and it was so warm and quiet. You do need to make Reservations. This is such a fabulous place to eat and plan to spend a long time here relaxing as you eat.

Used to having a little lunch, the portions I encountered where very big, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and being a picky eater as I am, that is saying something really good about this place.

We were a bit disappointed with this place. The menu looked interesting on first glance - lots of fish and seafood options - but the actual food was a bit mediocre. My boyfriend's pumpkin risotto was bland, as was the salad that accompanied my meal. I had the strips of tuna steak and the tuna was raw in the middle (fair enough) but not even hot on the outside! Also, two of the bread rolls they brought us to start with were mouldy! We complained and they replaced them, but still... On the plus side, service was friendly enough, and the food is certainly something different to your normal Argentinian menu of meat, pizza and pasta

With no cash and only credit card available, decided to try Ca-Mon.
Being (only) English speaking, we used our smartphone translator and we were able to easily communicate with the willing and friendly staff.
The meal - Lamb rib Asado - was well cooked and the salad and wine enjoyable. While it wasn't 'fantastic', it made us feel comfortable.
When it came time to pay, the credit card machine would not accept our several cards. We offered to get our hotel (who had no problems) to take the money out and reimburse.
Thanks.
The management would not have a bar of it: "It's on the House" they stated. Despite our suggestions otherwise, they wouldn't budge.
For that, we're really appreciative.

Casa Latina Restaurant located in Capilla del Monte, we offer the best selection of dishes such as homemade pasta meats, appetizers, tapas, cheese boards, vegetarian dishes. all with the best quality, a different style within a truly unique environment in the area.
This place is special point blank. Most people don't know that it has a hostel and an amazing kitchen. We came from Cordoba Capital and wanted to get away for a day. It was so lovely even though it is winter right now. We had an asado (cook out) that night, a nice Argentina breakfast (toast, tea) and an amazing "smack yo mama the face" lunch of fresh pasta (nokis). Even though it is the off season and we were two of the three people visiting we were treated with such care and attention. The Mountains are beautiful, the people of the town so welcoming. If you want to venture a little try Casa Latina. Have an open mind and heart and I promise you won't be disappointed.
