Calibishie is a town in Dominica. It is located on the north coast of the island, immediately to the east of the village of Hampstead. The Calibishie Coast Travel Area is thought by many to be the most scenic and unspoiled region of Dominica. The Calibishie Coast is one of the few areas in the world where you can travel from the seashore to rain forest in little more than a mile. After getting into our villa outside Calibishie, we were looking for a place to go. Bamboo Restaurant fit the bill perfectly. Friendly host, very good food, great ambiance (our family had three of the chicken dishes and each was very good). Just perfect!

Beach Bar & Grill with Fine Dining in the evenings with a romantic and relaxing ambiance in addition we have cozy Beach Front Cabanas & a Villa for rent.
Food is amazing, the setting is gorgeous, and the staff are attentive. Calibishie restaurants range from meh to good, except for this place where it's EXCELLENT. We went back three times. Had our farewell dinner with our new friends our last night in Dominica.

From the Centipede Rum, Callilou Soup, and Shrimp Fritters, to the Caribbean Jerk Mahi and homemade Rum and Raisin ice cream, Pagua Bay Bar and Grill really delivered. Laureen and Jenny were amazing hosts and we enjoyed delicious food with breathtaking views of the bay. Highly recommended when in Dominica!

Each evening, after hopefully seeking the green flash at sunset, we dined in the top-floor (and top-shelf) restaurant, with the lights of the waterfront twinkling in the distance and the moon and Venus visible overhead. We especially enjoyed the Hawaiian pizza from the wood-burning oven; grilled mahi with tomato salsa; Kabuli beer-battered snapper; grilled lionfish with mango salsa; cheeseburgers (in paradise!); and tacos.

Located in the heart of downtown Calibishie.
I don't think the restaurant was really open. They all seemed to be occupied with cleaning the place up during the slow season. The lady was super nice and served us. It was the only place we could find open between Marigot and Calibishie. If you are interested in trip to Dominica see our not for profit blog havecarryonwilltravel.com. The Seating has a view our over the water. Always a plus for prairie dwellers. The prices were in line with most other restaurants we visited during our stay. I had curried shrimp with rice and peas (beans). It was great. If you are in the area eat here.

We came here for lunch and were treated to amazing views of Castle Bruce. We all had the fish that was quite good and accompanied with lots of provisions. They threw a sample of infused rum before lunch. Staff was friendly and service pretty quick. Well worth the drive.

Great view over Calibishie. Nice unassuming bar for both locals and tourists. Glenda the owner is really friendly. We have not tried eating here, however.

The Calibishie Gardens with POZ Restaurant and Bar is a great place for dinner. The stir fry, is amazing and the Jerk Chicken is the best in Dominica . The pizza is also awesome after a day hiking.
The atmosphere is casual fun and talkative.
The owner, Troy, know as POZ is a hospitable, welcoming host. I would like to recommend Poz Restaurant and Bar to everyone visiting Dominica , Calibishie.
Relax and enjoy a Poz dinning experience...

Lovely place right on the beach with a nice laid back staff. The food was nice but it's the people working there and the locals hanging out there who makes this place perfect. Can strongly recommend this place. Thanks for your review..... Sand bar is the place to be and you found it. Please come again.
