We had two main course here, both of which were of very good quality and well prepared (mussels and sole), even though they forgot the promised sauce for the sole. The service was annoyingly inattentive, with the very young waitresses doing a great effort in avoiding seeing you.

Nice little restaurant where you can enjoy the standard small Dutch dishes, several good beers and local snacks. Has a par-3 golf course and decent driving range.

this is really a very nice place to visit, and of course, eat a pancake.
As always in Holland, everything is very clean. The place is very interesting because of the working wind mill at the place. Your pancake is made by flower grinded on the spot !
Very nice for kids too, as there is a (vintage) playground at the place.
Try the latte machiato; superb for a low price !

Went here for a quiet dinner after a long day scuba diving.
Had the menu/suggestion of the chef. And wasn't dissaponted. The portions were not big but it was more than enough to fill me up. Like the fact they cook in a Big Green Egg. Very tasty. House wine was also good

Best pancakes in the world Beautiful site Friendly staff Windmill Tourist shop Local food
The Pannekoekenmolen is located in the center of Burg Haamstede.
The restaurant is located in an old Dutch Windmill.
You can sit outside, under and around the mill or inside.
There are many variaties, sweet, savoury and a combination.
There is a pancake for everyone's taste.
I like the speck with apple.
Staff very friendly.
Try the beer Lammegentje, a beer from Zeeland's town Hulst.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived but we were served quickly-enough. The food was mostly fish-based, unsurprisingly. We tried some seaweed and bean-based 'weedy-bites', which we'd happily order again.
Food was mostly very good but could be better. The salad bar was rather thin and running low. We were charged (quite a lot) for a jug of tap water. Some of the cockles had not opened and one or two maybe should not have been served. A bit more care could make this place very special but locals clearly already value it

Friendly atmosphere, friendly service, easy going, tasteful food correctly served, who needs more? Of course, as to be expected here in this part of Zeeland, it's overpriced but in this case even that stays within reasonable limits. We'll be back!

The four of arrived after being recommended this restaurant and first impression was that he was nicely decorated. We ordered but took a while for bread and wine to arrive. From the outset we found the staff rude arrogant, actually looked like they didn't want to be there at all. You couldn't get their attention to ask for anything because they were all 'too busy'! The most arrogant one we dubbed as "Mr Chuckles' especially because he looked like it had been years since he last had one. On a note in the menu my husband and friend had the fish and chips, they both agreed it was the best they had, but I on the other hand had mussels which resulted in me writhing in agony later that night, violent throwing up and manifested a demonic possession of my intestines.
Here's to the group that we're sitting behind us who sat there before us and had to suffer watching us eating when they had't even been given a scrap if bread in all that time waiting..

Nice atmosphere restaurant, hidden in backstreets - 2 minutes from Renesse high street.
There was as a bit more Tex than Mex on the menu, although not many options for a veggie.
Our daughter's chips seemed a different quality to mine. Hers nicely seasoned, mine dry and tasteless.
Great spare ribs and very good onion rings. Overall good portions.
There was a kids play area, however we didn't use it as it was a real let down. The ice cream with the kids meal was basically an Angry Birds ice lolly - a bit lazy really.
