One Michelin star, two toques from Gault Millau and numerous awards from Gourmet magazines. Whether a festive menu or stylish business lunch, Hubertus Real and his culinary team produce unique delicacies, inspired by nature and the season.
We had dinner for 9 on the Eagles Nest. Midway thru dinner a storm came up. The staff was great and "spread the eagles wings" and we continued dinner. The food was well prepared and served flawlessly-even for a table of 9. I highly recommend the restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel.

We pre-booked this restaurant and it would seem this is fairly essential. The staff were very friendly and could not have been more helpful, altering dishes and menus to suit our tastes. The view/ ambiance of Vaduz castle and vineyards in a semi open-air Terrace was lovely. We asked for a glass of red wine each and were given some amazing “our vineyard” red.

Yummy food in a traditional setting. I noticed a lot of people ordering pizza, so perhaps it's one of the specialties here. There was also an extensive cordon bleu menu.
But I opted for the evening's special: Schweinshaxe, or a large roasted crispy pork knuckle. Served with roasted potato slices and sauteed green beans, it made for a generous and ample meal. The meat was a bit red near the bone, but still quite good with a nice layer of fat over the lean meat.
My friend got the lamb, which I tried a bit of, and that was quite nice, too. That dish came with soup and salad, too.
Interesting art sculptures outside the building rounded out this place for a nice dinner out in a homey atmosphere.

The Traube is in the center of Buchs and can be reached from ost hotels around Buchs on foot and by strolling through the main shopping street from the Bahnhof (train station).
It is located in a historic building dating back to 1835.
It is open Tue-Thu 9am -2pm/ 5- 11pm and Fr-Sa: 10am - midnight.
We were there with a larger group, were promptly seated and the service was attentive and very friendly. A great wine selection offered us a difficult choice, but we were happy with our Austrian Zweigelt!
The Beef Tartar was excellent and so was the desert selection. Overall a great visit with great service, good food and upper average Swiss prices. Definitely a place to consider for dinner when in Buchs.

I had the red curry with prawns/shrimp and my traveling companion had the chicken breast. Both were absolutely scrumptious (3 days later and she is still raving about her meal!). Atmosphere was nice - a cool evening and we sat outside with the night air cooling us. Plenty of parking nearby, no shortage of seats, and attentive wait staff noticed when you were gesturing for their presence.

We had a great meal at the restaurant Galerie am See with a wonderful view of the medieval town and the castle of Werdenberg and the little lake in front of us. Also the inside of the restaurant is attractive. pore

The menu is never complicated, it is very Swiss with no consideration of other national tastes and it is all the better for it. The food is well cooked and presented and always enjoyable. The service is professional and the atmosphere welcomming.

We ate here with friends today. The Spanish version of fruit misti served with egg plant sweet peppers on toasted bread was well done. The blackened seafood with rice and the regular paella was savory and filling.
All this was served leisurely on picnic type outdoor tables enjoyed by all with cold Estrella beer. What more could you want?

I’ve eaten at Johnnys almost every time I’ve been in Buchs, both for lunch and in the evening. Sometimes alone, more often with colleagues.
It is soundly Italian with good imaginative Italian food, excellent pizza and a good wine list. Inside or out on the Terrace it is a nice place to sit and enjoy an evening.
The staff are a constant, well trained and efficient and Johnny is usually present.
Part of the restaurant, behind a glass wall, is reserved for smokers, a relatively common feature in Switzerland.
