Decided to visit here based on recommendations from friends and certainly did not regret it.
After being seated, my group and I struggled to translate the menu, before being given English versions by the staff which helped the ordering process.
I went in for a sirloin steak, which was absolutely delicious, succulent, tender and no waste at all on the cutlet of meat. The chips and other sides served alongside were also tasty enough too.
Overall this place does some amazing food and Steaks whilst entailing a calm atmosphere with some friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit if your in Bruhl, especially if you love steak.

The hotel restaurant Bamboo is ideal for an Asian-culinary timeout. The smooth swinging lampions, bamboo furniture and overview over the Chinese garden create the feeling of being in the far east. The dinner buffet offers a live Wok station and delightful meals of the traditional Chinese cuisine. Kids also have their own buffet with several delicacies. Our brunch is a perfect start in the day: you enjoy the meals in the Asian themed hotel restaurant before seeking Phantasialand for adventures – all-inclusive with the brunch. Whether hotel guest or not, we are happy to welcome you to our temple of taste. Please check our website for detailed information of our opening hours regarding the brunch.
Phantasialand is one of my favourite theme parks in Europe, and both hotel Matamba and Ling Bao are beautiful. The decor and atmosphere in Bamboo are great however the service was slow (but very friendly). The food was quite dry and overcooked, although it did taste good. It cost 30 euros a head which wasn't good considering the quality of the food.
The restaurant wasn't busy at all however the waiter somehow forgot to give us the bill/let us pay for a long time!

Went there because I stayed in a rather dull hotel nearby with no decent restaurant avaiable.
The place was almost fully booked but the young staff managed to get me a table. Food was good and reasonable priced.
On the downside it took 30 minutes to get the meal. I noticed from the neighbouring tables that the meat dishes took almost 45 min to be served.

Small cozy restaurant, with a great service staff. The food was well prepared and the portions took care of a big empty stomach. Great dining experience and a fantastic range of Belgian beers!!!

I am only in Brühl once a year, but a visit to this restaurant is a must. I can only comment on the vegetarian paella, as it is the only thing I have. It is very, very good. It's a good idea if you know you want the paella to let them know when booking the table, as it takes quite a while to prepare. Very tasty and filling. It's a pleasant atmosphere, not too noisy, and the waiters are friendly and attentive. I can't wait to get back there next year.

My favourite restaurant in the area where I live is Bantu in the Matamba Hotel in Phantasialand near Brühl. It is first class restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, terrific organization and service and outstanding food. We go there to celebrate special occasions, and we stretch the definition of “special occasions” to go as often as possible. You don’t have to go into Phantasialand to visit the restaurant, as it is situated in one of the two very lovely hotels next to the amusement park. The menu changes regularly, but they always offer a special menu of the week. I think we have always ordered this, as it is good value. The meat is always cooked to perfection, and the ingredients are unusual and perfectly coordinated. They also have a children’s menu and take care of the young guests very well, serving them first and also providing colouring books and crayons so that the adults can enjoy their meal. The restaurant has a very romantic flair to it. If you go to Phantasialand or Brühl, eat there at least once. You won’t regret it.

We welcome you deep in Africa’s kitchen! Our live-cooking-area serves you with fish and meat fresh off the grill while you will scent self-backed bread out of our clay oven. Experience your very own flavour-safari while going through our buffet of African specialities. Our small visitors will also have their own buffet with many tasty meals. On Sundays you can enjoy our Jamboree: start your day with a delicious brunch before entering Phantasialand for fantastic adventures – all-inclusive in the Jamboree! Whether a guest of our hotel or not, we are happy to welcome everyone!
Average buffet restaurant. Service at entrance and most of waiters good and friendly. Only the person behind the grill had a bad day, very rude and unfriendly. Grilled meat very dry although chargrilled on nice grill, but all on too low temperature and meat becomes "shoe soles". The stews also too overcooked ! Some nice grilled vegetables and wide choice of salads at buffet. Dessert buffet average. €28 quite a bit for such a buffet even for children over the age of 11 years. But my son loved it so why would I be so critical...:)

Excellent service, our group was multilingual and the Chef's recommendations were adapted into 3 languages and contained very detailed information, first class care despite a well populated restaurant.
All individually composed courses were appreciated in every detail, all food was expertly cooked, served and well portioned. (it might be a good idea though, to serve on heated plates to maintain the optimal condition of the meats for longer whilst eating at gentle speed, particularly applying to the excellently prepared liver with onions in white wine.)
The atmosphere in this restaurant with several semi open sections provides a non reclusive privacy avoiding direct influences between sections but very well organised supervision by the staff to register any request by customers immediately.
Staff was giving unbiased expert advice without being overly pushy, all taken suggestions were completely appreciated.
We will be returning for the next event and in between, to try other meals of the remarkably rich menue. Prices are very honest and by no means overdrawn.

We really enjoyed excellent food in this stylish decorated restaurant. Chairs hanging from the ceiling, they have an artificial fireplace and everywhere are nice details to find. The owner is not only celebrating good food, but also loves his place. Well done and I am coming back.
