Corsica is a weird and wonderful island, replete with gorgeous beaches and breathtaking mountains. Bonifacio, a harbor city on the southern tip, is rich with history. Check out the prehistoric Araguina-Sennola caves and the Genoese towers, and be sure to take the train through the mountains to the beach—a spectacular adventure. Biking, hiking, rafting and diving are popular activities.

This was highly recommended in TripAdvisor so we had to check it out. Once again, TA came up trumps. What a great value and excellent restaurant on the port of Bonifacio. We enjoyed our first meal so much we came again the following night and brought our new Corsican friends with us. Don't be fooled by the carnivorous implication of its name, you can still have vegetarian-type meals here if you wish (but why would you? The grilled meats are so tasty!), omelettes and salads for example. Being proper carnivores, on our first night we all had an assortment of grilled dishes: pork chops, lamb chops and a mixed plate of skewered chicken, lamb and pork. All came with salad and chips. What an indulgence. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. As there were only 3 of us, we were seated upstairs on the balcony - nice view of the fancy yachts moored in front. I think tables for 2 to 4 persons are upstairs as the following night when there were more of us (and we had booked earlier) we were seated in the cozy downstairs area with other groups.
On our 2nd dinner, we all ordered the casseroles. Oh my they were hearty and filling! We had fun tasting each other's selection: lamb & fig, duck & potatoes, lamb & potatoes. Accompanied by good Corsican wine, all were really tasty. We even had room for dessert: lemon tart (the winner), tarte tartin, creme brulee. We were so glad to walk home later and burn off those calories!
I'd say this is one of the better value dining places in this rather expensive touristy town. It is unpretentious, friendly and relaxed. The Corsican menu is authentic, delicious and memorable. So glad we came!

This is a very friendly restaurant, with delicious food and a great wine list. The views from the Terrace are wonderful. It's right opposite the Ranch, where we took a memorable horse ride down to the beach just before dinner. Great pizzas and lasagne. Desserts lovely and home-made.

Specialites "poissons" et "bouillabaisse maison"
A restaurant with an exceptional good kitchen. An atmosphere that breaths family values. Welcomed by the lady of the house, who looks adorable and gives you at the spot a good feeling. The menu is explained with love and passion and every single dish sounds delicious. A must when you are in Bonifacio.

We stayed here at the hotel. This is a very special restaurant. A young and talented chef. He has his own garden (our room looked out over it). Sources local ingredients for very flavourful food. I had the "white risotto" one night- amazing- topped with shaved chestnuts.
Breakfast is also delicious, many choices, fresh.
This was by far our best food on Corsica

Most restaurants in Bonifacio are tourist traps: expensive and mediocre food. Here both the food and the serving staff have character and that makes it more interesting. It still isn't cheap, but at least it's very good. Reservations are recommended, but are only accepted until 8pm (20:00) as they know the place will fill up anyway. In other places I would rate the food and service as 4 stars, but for Bonifacio this is well worth 5.

So, picture the scene.....you arrive in Bonifacio on a Saturday lunchtime, you turn to trusted TA, you find that Lan'k is only a short distance from where you are staying, you look forward to visiting....and then it all goes horribly wrong!
When we arrived there was a party already eating. We spotted a lovely table and sat down. There is an opening into the kitchen and the chef appeared to be chatting to who we assumed was a local.
We waited, they stared at us, we waited a bit longer, they contained to stare. Eventually, the 'local' put down his cigarette ('reluctantly') and came over to us to advise abruptly that they stopped serving at 2pm - it was 1.55pm.
On service alone, don't bother - you might be lucky - however we will not return. There are many many other wonderful places to eat.

These are not good burgers. Sorry, they just aren't very good. I tried the duck burger and couldn't identify anything on it except the tomatoes. It had a Very sweet taste which was odd. I didn't finish it. My husband had the Roquefort burger, quite small with a huge bun. This burger wouldn't cut it in the states. Very disappointed with food, but servers very friendly. The French fries were pretty good but house wine very mediocre for price. Pick someplace else to eat in this very pretty port town.

Small super friendly restaurant that makes excellent local focused cuisine. The dorado was great as was the aubergine only. Well priced and well located. Service was very friendly. The 5 star is for the price. CASH only

Aria Nova is a little lovely restaurant in the haute ville in Bonifacio.
It has been a pleasure to be there from the very first moment: the restaurant is tastefully decorated, that simply chic style Frenchies are capable of.
The food has been perfect, from the home made bread to the salads, the fish and the dessert. On top of that, staff has been extremely helpful, smiley and polite.
It has been such a lovely surprise to find so much quality in a place full of tourists during the high season!
I wish Aria Nova all the best for the future and if I will ever be back to Bonifacio, I will pay more than one visit.
