The Reeuwijkse Hout is located very nice. Right on the lake and next to the highway exit it is easy to reach and a great spot. The salad (mealsalad) they serve was fresh and nice. The other plate we're good but lacked fantasy. It seemed to be prepared at an earlier stage and isn't much different from a snackbar.

Stopped at this restaurant with 2 friends on a cycle tour along Oude Rijn and had one of the best goat's cheese salads my friends and I have ever tasted. We could relax watching the activities on the river with good food and a refreshing beer.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of the City Center. The restaurant is upstairs, so don't be fooled if there is nobody in the small bar on the ground floor. The food is excellent, great flavours. Great choice of starters or enjoy them all in a big platter. Main courses we had a delicious duck and great catch of the day. Also great dishes. They have a very good winelist as well. Service is very attentive and friendly. After a nice coffee we asked for the check, which was also pleasant. Very much value for your money. I recommend this place!

We went eating with a couple of friends.
Very nice restaurant, at a nice location. Since it also holds a riding school, there are (shetland) horses on the fields on which children can play.
The food is good, but the waitresses sometimes miss you when you want to order.
Another "disadvantage" is their opening hours only last until 20:00.

As part of the IENS dinner days we visited this restaurant. A very nice location in the countryside which must be beautiful in the summer.
The service was good, nice speed of food service and certainly not pushing on the drinks (which happens regular when you are eating a set menu for a set price).
The food itself was good but not great. A bit on the salty side and not really standing out.
Certainly a place to return. Especially when the weather is good.

In a rural area this restaurant is located in a little village closely to the oldest working toll bridge of the Netherlands. We had an exellent dinner. The menu offers several interesting dishes served with a very good choice of wines. Service was perfect. When you visit the neighborhood it's worthwhile to dine at this place.

I had several times dinner here, as well business wise as private, and my company and I were never disappointed. The advise is to make reservation two days before, because it is nearly always full. Price-quality is acceptable, price rating is higher than average. Service is very good, tables are a bit too close to eachother from my point of view. Verry good choice in wines and a good menu. The location is on the border of the Oude Rijn (Old Rhine) next to one of the (bike riders and pedestrians only) Bridges of Alphen aan den Rijn. Worth to visit.

These people understand what it's all about. We went out with friends and had a wonderful evening. Nice atmosphere. Good food. Nice selection of NL tappas (small dishes) to choose from. Brand beer and nice wines. Price / quality in balance. Staff was present and available but not pushing. Just as it should be. Anders - Bodegraven, the place to be!! Will we be back? No doubt.

This is not sensu stricto a restaurant. It is a place where after reservation you can get cooking lessons and eat what you have cooked, but I think it can fall under the restaurant category since during and after cooking your meal you are treated as a restaurant guest with full service and drinks, snacks and amuses served by professional waiters. There is not any cleaning up to do so it is all pure luxury and even if you can't cook at all they will help you through. However, you have to reserve in advance to enter the cooking class.
We had great fun there: the instructors are marvelous, you not only learn new things (even if you are very experienced already in cooking), but also see how a professional kitchen deals with hygiene and you will probably learn some new handy tricks.
They offer several choices of menu's. We had the Dutch menu with the local ingredients from the region and this was great. The ingredients were really superb, e.g. the local goose, fish and meat; not to forget the local honey and apples for the desert.
There is also a wine tasting after the cooking where you can choose the best wine for each of the courses.
The place is in the historical Bodegraven station (hence the name kookstation) and the restaurant part is really cute (if you don't mind now and then seeing a train stop in front of your window). There is really no better place to reach by train than this place since the back door exit is right at the train entrance for the direction Leiden (step to the other side if you need to go direction Amsterdam). It is anyway recommended to go by train since you will be tempted for so much alcoholics to drink that driving a car would be not a good idea.

My husband I picked this restaurant as we are visiting Amsterdam and hubby felt like schnitzel and they had this on the menu I had homemade tomato soup. The soup was the best homemade soup I have had in a very long time from any restaurant around the world. Hubby had a very large serving of schnitzel it was tasty but a little tough. You will not leave here hungry. The food is delivered very quickly and with a smile. I would recommend to all when in Amsterdam.
