This has been one of our favourite sushi places for a while. It is much better than your average sushi carousel place. However, it is often crowded and booked out on weekends. The vietnamese place next door, Nhy Star is an excellent alternative.

Absolutely fantastic currywurst for bargain prices. Definitely order it with Pommes and add plenty of mayonnaise. Staff speak sufficient English to help tourists and are very quick to get you what you need. Beer and soft drinks also available. Prices are very reasonable and this is the perfect place for a quick snack, or late night meal!!

"you say Tapas - we say Meze!"
This place is authentic with plenty of seafood and meat options. I live in Munich-a much larger city-and the Greek food at Yamas put the Greek food in Munich to shame. They had an authentic Saganaki and plenty of Mezes. We loved everything about this place, the friendly Greek servers, the Ouzo, the white Greek wine, the atmosphere and the food especially. If I ever go to Bochum again, I will visit for sure! It's a great spot for a weekend night with friends, but just beware that it's a little more Greek time than German for service. But a little bit slow just means more time for chatting with friends and family. Opa!

We had dinner in The Livingroom in Bochum. Well - Bochum is not exactly THE place to be - but the Livingroom is almost worth the journey. The decor of the open, spacious restaurant is modern and very good. We had a vegetarian dish and a burger - both excellent. Lots of good fresh stuff, excellent spicing. We had a wonderful evening and felt really great. This one is on my list to return to.
They use spagehtti pots as basins in their toilets - funny idea - works well.

Friendly service, nice traditional fashioned restaurant inside
for the food I have to say yes and no, the sauce is really good, the cuisson as well, however the meat was maybe to though.
For information, I have a pfeffersteak (rumpsteak) and in my opinion the steak was to though for a real steak restaurant

People who visited Bochum recccommended this restaurant, but for us, it was a dissappointment. A lot of dirrent flavours, spices and ingredients all mixed up in one big plate. It's not what i would like to have when I go out for a meal!

Restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, including some quiet outside Seating in a courtyard behind the restaurant. Quality of food is top notch, and there is a large selection. Great experience, highly recommended. May be the best restaurant in Bochum. Don't miss it while you are here.

Being in Bochum for a business meeting we asked the hotel about a good Italian restaurant. This restaurant was recommended as the best in town, besides it's just across from our hotel (Renaissance Bochum). The recommendation was absolutely correct, great great great Italian food. As appetizers they offer a large plate of various starters, we both opted for the Vitello Tonato though as it's one of my favorites. Wow, what a nice Vitello they made, all in the correct balance, not overspread with Tonato. As a main course we took (again both same choice) the spaghetti with truffles, again all to perfection. We could not resist the panna cotta as desert, although the waiter said the Tiramisu is probably even better, personally I am just more a panna cotta person. All in all super restaurant, we were there on a Tuesday night and it was packed. That's why probably the service took a little longer than acceptable, however the food made more than up for that. Will be back next time I am in Bochum.

We arrived on Sunday with the small town like this, most of the restaurants are closed or gone for summer holiday. Normally for pizza, pasta and spaghetti can't go so wrong and our little one likes these anyway, so we go for this restaurant.
The waitress tried to be hospitality but they barely speak English, we did order food and the food quality were fine (as how it should be) but we came with 3 persons and there was a table with 6 persons came later than us. They get food at the same time with us and they even get their bill earlier than us when we asked first.
Basically that is OKAY but don't put high expectation for that.
PS. As an Italian restaurant, they don't have ice cream/ gelato; was a bit disappointing..
