Founded in 1998, Baan Aarya is a gem of a restaurant on Bintan Island.
This was our 2nd trip to Bintan for a family vacation. We had visited Baan Arya restaurant on previous occasion. The restaurant is famous for serving Thai food from local produce. Last time we had tried Tom Yum soup. It was very spicy. On this occasion we were expecting something similar. But it turned out to be much milder version. All the vegetables cooked in the soup were cut into very very large portions. It would have been nice to cut them into smaller pieces.
For appetizers we tried the veg spring rolls. The veggies were stuffed inside a very thin wrap and it was cold. The sauce was adding a nice flavor to these unique spring rolls.
Main course was veg fried rice. The staff was proactive enough to confirm if egg was ok or not. This was the best dish we had for our dinner. Everything was nicely cooked and tasted very nice with the right mix of spices & veggies. For the desserts we tried fried banana with ice cream. The combination of cold ice cream & hot fried bananas was nice.
The outdoor Seating is very close to the sea shore and the evening breeze is quite enjoyable. You need to be prepared for mosquitoes. We had the mosquito repellant to our rescue. The place is well decorated and staff is very helpful. Prices might be slightly overpriced but then you are on vacation and you know that everything will be costly.
Both our visits have been very good to Baan Aarya and we will definitely visit in future if we visit Bintan again. Recommended if you like Thai food and want to have a quite meal by the sea side.

Built on stilts just above the sea, a unique blend of Chinese and Indonesian culinary style. The only place to go in Bintan which has the richest and freshest seafood while offering panoramic view of South China Sea. Open daily for lunch and dinner from 11:00 AM - 10:30 PM.
Friend recommend us and we ordered steam mantis shrimp, garlic chicken (nice but too many bone pieces) and Assam sotong (black and sour sotong). We read another review that recommend gonggong n tried but was a disappointment as some of them r still cold. It does have a indo Performances and transport to it are done by the kelong. So going and return to resort was easy. During trip out to kelong one can still enjoy the mangrove view.

With dishes ranging from mushroom-cappuccino soup to beef fajitas, this restaurant serves Western dishes influenced by Asian tastes. Guests can also enjoy live Performances by the in-house band. Open daily for lunch and dinner from 09:00 AM - 10:30 PM.
Went for family dinner to Dino’s.
The staff were friendly, however kind of lacking in service ability.
E.g. I’ve asked for a table for four of us;
Then my daughter was asking me something, and I’ve answered her, meanwhile the waiter went to our table and waved at us to come over...
The food was soso.... Spaghetti were ok, steak was dry when ordered medium, salmon was ok and the pizza too.
However everything was served Wehen finished by the kitchen, but definitively not together. More like one after each... as I was done with the salmon and my wade was still waiting for the steak ...
And I waited about 10min before I’ve started to eat.
Based on the pricing, i can’t recommend that place much.
However, in this resort you don’t have much choices...
Best so far in the Nirwana resort ist the pool-restaurant...

the food is nice quality Indian and Indonesian, compared to some other restaurants nearby it is not too expensive but dare I say it still a bit overpriced.

Delicious food and wonderful service!
They make you feel very special from your entry into their restaurant until you exit.
We had a great time sitting by the window and looking on to the sea while enjoying Thai delicacies. Interior is also done tastefully.
However, prices are a bit towards higher side. And you need to book the place before you show up. Also pack some smart casuals to wear for the dinner at Saffron. And then you are all set for a wonderful evening!

We heard good things about this place and decided to check it out. Unfortunately, it was pretty average, nothing to shout about.
The people were friendly and helpful. However, the food was served cold, and most dishes were rather average in quality. Somewhat pricey too.
Won't recommend going out of your way to visit.

Stopped off for lunch on the way from the airport based on recommendations from friends. Food is generally pretty good although I wouldn't recommend the sea scallops. Portions are very generous and prices are reasonable. It is a Kelong style restaurant ( on a platform over the water) so it has exceptional views and a nice atmosphere. Would try again next time I visit Bintan

Overall I would rate this restaurant 4 stars. Somehow the food was fine. Not overprice. Service ok. Must try the mee goreng and Nasi goreng. Food price in Bintan was Singapore Hotel pricing. It is fine if you are on vacation.
The verandah lounge was nice and there is a band playing every Wednesday night. Good place for coffee, cake and relaxation
Thanks

On the road between Bintan Cabana Beach and Bintan Serumpan Rabi
the east coast of Bintan offers a great variety of cool & original little touristic gems, complementing the upmarket stylish resorts located in Bintan Resorts, on the northern coast of the island
one of these is the Casa Italia pizzeria, run by Armando & family, who have been in Bintan for quite some time
Casa Italia's wood-fired oven proposes a range of tasty pizzas at very reasonable prices
the pizzeria is right on the beach, a simple cabana layout with friendly service
open every day from 10 am till 7 pm, except on Mondays
... worth a visit, take away boxes available too

This is like the real "kelong" because there is a long bridge out to the sea from the kelong. It is an open air bar and very nice after the walk. Quite empty. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
