Fresh, seasonal dining, magnificent water and iconic bridge views, relaxed yet stylish ambience ... On The Pier seafood restaurant, housed in the heritage former punt house on Clyde River, is a Batemans Bay treasure. Specialising in weddings, events and corporate functions the perfect place where memories will last for a life time.
Being a local we have dined at On The Pier over the years, like some other diners it can be a bit hit and miss with the food, the location and views are outstanding.
We went to celebrate my birthday and yet again did not get the table we requested, despite being told when we booked, they would contact us if there was a problem....
We were shunted around the far side of the restaurant to a table unable to accomodate the plates and wine glasses, no music and no restaurant atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on enjoying and supporting local businesses but in this case, if i am going to pay sydney prices for food then make it worthwhile and maybe think about investing on the locals who invest in you!!!
Thoroughly disappointed and left early.

Starfish is situated in a prime location overlooking the beautiful Clyde River in the heart of Batemans Bay - a stones throw from the oyster farms, with numerous fishing boats enhancing the view. Starfish is open 7 days a week - breakfast, lunch and dinner - offering modern Australian Cuisine - Amazing Clyde River Oysters - Gourmet Wood-Fired Pizzas - Locally Caught Fish - plus a selection of dishes utilising Fresh Local Produce. We cater for those dropping in for coffee along with a wonderful selection of freshly made cakes, to those wishing to sip on a glass of champagne by the waters edge - sampling our local oysters or as a meeting point for family gatherings with a large selection of meals from our enticing menu for all to enjoy.
... we always seem to stop here when in town. On this night we were looking for a light dinner after a big lunch. A shared pizza and salad did the job. We noticed a change of hands seems to have taken place however things still feel the same. YMMV

Just adequate as a place for breakfast. Very noisy inside and crowded outside. A long queue to oder, and then a wait. Coffees were okay but as usual, unless you request, the coffees come and get cold before the meals arrive. Croissants were appetizing with nothing really to say Wow, id like another. The place is up for sale, so perhaps the current owner is getting tired and new blood needs to be out into this great location on the boardwalk in Batemans Bay. We would go back but would request our coffee after the meal has been served, otherwise it is very much a two stage process. Menus need to be strategically located at entrances with clear advice about table numbers and ordering and paying at the counter. Sadly, other venues do it better at the moment.

we trust that you will get a truly unique and distinctive dining experience whilst indulging yourself with the true taste of fine dining true taste of fine dining Indian cuisine.
Visited here a few times when it was at its old address on the main road and thought it was fantastic but never even thought to write a review...not sure why really!
Perhaps it may be best to stay with not writing a review as there is simply nothing anyone could say that is bad about this place....and heaps of good reviews might mean I can’t get a table as easily in future!
This place is nothing short of AMAZING, always has been and tonight was no exception. Everything ordered was simply fabulous, the staff are friendly and welcoming and so very helpful. Have been here in groups and also just the hubby and I but the experience is always fantastic.
Obviously the new location just adds to the perfection that already was....you can just watch the sights now instead of the traffic. Will certainly be back....soon...really soon!
Do yourselves a favour and try Kohli’s when next in the Bay, you won’t be disappointed.
Love the new place.
Note to prospective diners: don’t wear a belt, do wear loose clothing, do wear comfy clothing, don’t eat too much before you go, don’t fill up on the naan - save yourself for the yummy curries and most importantly kick the diet to the kerb for the night -you’ll thank yourself (and maybe even me!) later.
Enjoy!

It was the night before Xmas. I was welcomed at the door. Bought a Lion’s Xmas cake and joined up. Had a Sandwich in the lounge as I thought the weather might change. Stayed at Hanging Rock Family Motel across the road, so walked there. Very comfy. Also dined here on way back on 2nd Jan and had veggie wood fired pizza. Very nice. Family friendly dining experience.

Fresh local oysters from Bernys own leases. Specialty hand cut and home made chips & potato scallops. Home made prawn cutlets, garlic prawns, honey prawns.

WINTER TRADING HOURS open 10am-7pm. Closed Tuesday except for during school holidays
We have been to Berny's so many times over the years that we’ve lost count. The fish is always delicious and we ALWAYS get a couple of potato scallops with our order as they are second to none.
When our kids come home to visit, there is always a trip to Berny's and these kids know food.
One thing that impresses us is that you don’t eat them for hours after you finish which probably means they use good quality oil.
Needless to say...we will return!!

Didn't know what to expect but what a great suprise. Im pretty fussy when it comes to pizza. A lot of places just can't get it right especially the base. Nick and his team nailed it. A bottle shop just behind the restaurant makes it so convenient. We over ordered and couldn't leave till our plates were clean. Fairly priced for the quality.

Stopped here by luck and were glad we did.
Located on Clyde Street right beside the water with convenient parking nearby, Inne's Boatshed is unassuming from the outside and sterilely off-putting on the inside (fish chunks are unceremoniously displayed on ice in huge industrial-type glass coolers), but the selection was generous, the seafood fresh and service was speedy and friendly.
We soon selected and obtained our oysters, prawns, marlin, and flathead (the fish really is flash fried). Apart from a handful of tables inside there’s a more picturesque Terrace out the back with parasols and views over the Clyde River (and its intriguing raisable bridge) and moored fishing boats nearby.
Everything we had was fresh, that which was cooked was nicely done, the batter was crispy, the fish still tender. This is not fine dining, they don’t serve alcohol (the fridge in the corner dispenses cold but strictly non-alcoholic beverages), the chips were run-of-the-mill (you can order the fish without) and there are no healthy side dishes (extras included sauces and dips), but what is offered is very fresh, well cooked, reasonably priced and unpretentious.
We wish we’d tried the potato scallops.
