Firstly, this restaurant is beside the Prince Mahidol University Music College. It sees a stream of students with their music instruments. Above that the surrounding areas have music students practicing various pieces.
Food here is great but if the weather is not to hot, ask for a seat outside next to the canal. Lush Gardens and good food. What a combination.

One of the most extensive menus I've ever seen in a restaurant in Thailand, and the food is of good quality and nicely presented. I'm impressed. Special mention to their artisan desserts and cakes, and all for a very affordable price. Great wine and beer selection from all over the world too.
Service staff were attentive and efficient. Only downside is that this place isn't in Bangkok - and there isn't much choice in terms of public transportation. Most people have to drive to get here. If you don't have a car, advice to take the inter-campus shuttle bus of Mahidol University from Bangkok city, and walk to this restaurant.
Thumbs up!

A little bit difficult to find, but definitely worth it. This restaurant is highly popular with Thais, but farang almost never visit it. It is located in an old traditional wooden Thai house filled with antiques. The menu has many ancient dishes which I never tasted before. All dishes excellent and inexpensive.

Hard to find this kind of restaurant in Bangkok. Lanna ambiance with open-air, separate huts for guests to dine & relax. Decorated with local antique and trees, it came along with delicious food. Cooked by local people from Northern Thailand, the taste was so original. So as the unique menu not easy to find in Bangkok.

My resteral is real Traditional Thai cuisines.
This restaurant is beautifully decorated. However, the food was just okay. Some dishes were cold and tasteless though. I think the price is too expensive for the taste.
As for cleanliness, I found a piece of hair inside the fish fillet. I informed the manager and he did nothing..not even said sorry.
P.S. I asked one of the staff when i made a reservation whether I could use a discount coupon. He said I could. However, when I asked for the bill the manager told me I could not use the coupon. So please make sure you ask for the name of the staff when you make a reservation. Their service is not reliably good.

I've been eating at Wine Connection in Thailand for over 6 years, finally they opened one near where I live a few weeks ago and I've visited four times since.
Food-wise, it's up to Wine Connection's normal high standards in fact the rare tenderloin steak I ordered here a few days ago was probably the best steak I ever eaten and wine connection. In addition to a vast selection of wine they also have a selection of draught beers from Belgium and Germany!
This is probably the newest Wine Connection, and it shows. Unfortunately the staff do need to be trained how to serve wine and western food. On my first visit the waiter accidentally tipped a whole pint of beer over me - when we got the bill the waitress reminded us she had deducted the the pint of beer that was still soaked into shirt! nothing more offered. Subsequent visits have been much drier, however much more annoying; Appetisers should be served BEFORE a Main course, not AFTER and not at the same time. If four people are dining together then please serve four appetisers together and then four main courses together.
I'll put this down to a new crew and they're learning. And finally, please do something about the music!
