They serve a lot of options! Seafood, vegan, steak, bakery, you name it. It is pretty similar with Gandy restaurant in Jakarta with extra seafood. Not a child friendly place. Again most seafood restaurant here does not cater for kids, except if you order fried fish and eat them with soya sauce. Period.
They cater for big groups. Offer vallet service since the parking space is so minimal. Service is fast. Compare to other seafood restaurant in Balikpapan. Price is reasonable, i guess thats why our secretary and boss love it there.

I have visited this restaurant twice. The second time has convinced me not to return.
The service in this restaurant is poor, having to chase up the waiters to fulfil the drinks ordered. Only two people the drinks order was not complicated. Next the food arrived only to be two dishes short and be told that the squid dishes were unavailable because they had run out of squid. This was at 7pm with a third full restaurant. I enquired why we were not informed after we made the order rather than waiting half an hour when dishes arrived to let us know. No answer.
To end the night we were overcharged with the bill being padded. The food was expensive! 60,000 rupiah per tiger prawn. Wow!
A very disappointing experience and I shall not be returning.

One of the famous place for locals who loves seafood. While visiting this place, seafood lovers should not miss this place. Not far from the airport. Their specialty is crabs, with meaty and juicy crabs. Not too expensive, cooked in various choices of sauce, spicy or non-spicy.
Comes with live performance as well. If you love to sing, you may also join them.

OPEN HOUSE Balikpapan is a hilltop restaurant with panoramic views of the sea and the city of Balikpapan. The mediterranean food, beautiful views, lust tropical Gardens, coupled with eclectic interiors complete the ideal combination for a memorable lunch or dinner. Located in the heart of the city of Balikpapan, East Borneo, Indonesia. Experience the 'high' life to satisfy all the senses.
We spent 3 nights in the eco room, the hotel itself is absolutely stunning with amazing views of Balikpapan.
Only real issue was no hot water available in the shower and our room did smell a little moldy.
The restaurant has quite good food but was often out of certain dishes and is quite expensive comparatively.
Otherwise it was on of the most beautiful hotels I've ever been in, definitely recommended

THE BEACH HOUSE Balikpapan is a beachfront restaurant with a concept of combining the vibrancy of the sea with the tranquility of a lust tropical garden. Located in the city of Balikpapan, East Borneo, Indonesia, it is one of the tourism icons of the city.
The restaurant is in the main road near airport, facing the sea. Beautiful trees and interesting huts were placed strategically. Great area for photo shoot, read that they are charging 1 million for pre wedding photo shoots. Only ordered snacks so cant comment on the food.

The baristas and servers at Starbucks eWalk BSB are the most friendly staff in town! They always smile brightly and say "hello" and call you by name whenever you walk into the store.
However, sometimes there are problems at the store, but those problems usually seem to be a fault with whoever is responsible for ordering supplies for the store. One time, there was no coffee. (No coffee at Starbucks??!!??!!) Another time (very recently) there were only Venti size drinks available - no Tall or Grande cups. And one day there were no sugar sachets available.
There are plenty of tables to sit at, and some comfy couches, and the place is always clean and tidy.
But it's always the serving staff who make Starbucks eWalk enjoyable.

The place is quite posh. Pricey but you are paying for the view as well. Service is good but there are lots of mosquito in the veranda.
