Just north of Frankfurt at the foot of the Taunus Mountains, Bad Homburg has been treasured for its healing baths since the 19th century, when it hosted royalty from across Europe and the world. Of course they also came for its casino, sometimes called "the mother of Monte Carlo." Today, both the original Spa Park (or Kurpark) and the Bad Homburg Casino are still here, and visitors also enjoy Bad Homburg Castle and its White Tower. Just northwest of town is Saalburg, a restored Roman fort.

After Reading reviews we decided to visit and try the food after a long days sightseeing. We had not reserved a table but we received a warm welcome and were immediately seated. The restuarant is obviously very popular with the locals and the atmosphere was very social whilst not being too noisy. We agree with the other reviews that the banana cream soup is a must try; even though it sounds rather strange, it was delicious. The menu was comprehensive and would appeal to all tastes and lovers of Mexican food. Portions and prices were good. Would highly recommend.

If you're hungry and to not want to pay too much - visit this place. Flamm's (type of French pizza) is mmmmmm yammie! Quick service, damm good food, French spirit of the place. Excellent! Always full of people.
By the way if you are not only hungry but thursty there is no need to drink only mineral water. They have good wine. Good place. Will come back again.

High quality Italian restaurant. We had tartar of tuna with fried egg and lot of fresh truffles. As main we had grilled sole with fresh spinach and Italian ice as dessert. Food and service was just excellent in a restaurant with lots of atmosphere. Including an excellent white wine, EUR 75/person. Just super.
Highly recommendable restaurant.

Looked like it is a formal Italian restaurant, so I expected quite a lot to this restaurant. Atmosphere was elegance and formal. Service was good, but their attention on the customers were too much that I felt so uncomfortable. Starter was fresh bread with olives, which was pretty nice and I really liked that they used fresh warm bread. I ordered lasagna and tiramisu. Their lasagna was really cheesy and super creamy, and I felt it was slightly too much. Tiramisu tasted okay with beautiful fried flower decor, but the cream they used were slightly stiff. I'm not sure whether I'll revisit or not.

The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The welcoming already is relatively cold almost unfriendly. It takes quite a while until you get the menus and then again a while until your order is taken. For the wine list you have to ask separately as it is not offered from the beginning. Prices on the menu are above average. We chose our meals then the waiter/owner came to take our orders, he told us there were also other dishes on the menu, but as we decided already and had waited for quite a while we sticked to the dishes in the menu. We ordered a bottle of wine which was not really what we expected, in fact it was not good for a Pinot Grigio. It had no fruity taste at all. The salad as a starter was the only dish which was good. The rest was rather tasteless but had great names. The service was extremely arrogant, it took forever to get their attention and then to get the dessert menu or whatever you asked for. In the end we had to ask for the bill 3 times and waited almost 20 minutes and got a relatively rude answer when asking for the third time. In the end they became very sarcastic. It was a one time dinner there - never again! Italian hospitality is definitely something different. The restaurant is completely overrated.

In this busy café you can enjoy great selfmade sweets and cakes (especially "Sahnekuchen"/cake with whipped cream and fruit, chocolate...many different temptations).
In summer they also serve home made ice cream.
The ambiente is kind of "vintage" but is ok.Terrace open in summer.
Business is family owned already for decades which guarantees constant quality.
Prices are really good, servings of cakes are huge and the service is ok.

Our concierge in the hotel recommended this hotel to us, and although it was quite a long taxi journey from our hotel, it was well worth it. The welcome was warm and genuine, and the food was excellent. It has a very authentic feel to it, and the menu was interesting and exciting. We all enjoyed the food and the beer recommended by them was first class.

Taverne Kavala- is a family run place...One of my favorite weekend spots... Nice little place with all the charm, clean and good service.
Great place for a little party and family dinner. Great prices and value in Bad Homburg-
Located in the old city area of Bad Homburg and has a small garden in front to dine outside.

Real discovery. Nice classical italian food, with excellent personal service under the stewardship of dad and son. Wine suggestion are nice and friendly priced. The outside of the restaurant is not impressive but all the warmth and love is put in the inside with a nice interior, nice food, nice wine and friendly people. Want do you want more....will come back
