We stayed in a B&B less then 500m from here, and arriving late in the evening, extremely hungry our hostess recommended this restaurant.
The menu was surprisingly fresh for a 'meat oriented' restaurant. We ordered a veal and a beef dish - both came perfectly cooked, with colourful salad and (of course) a healthy serving of belgian frites. Sauces were fantastic. Although we didn't have desert, those served to the other tables looked beautiful. There are also enough dishes on the menu for vegetarians.
The staff spoke good English and were able to translate the menu for us. The beer and wine list are extensive.
Although we selected meals off the menu, there is also a 'tasting' menu which is very good value.
The restaurant is also open for lunch - and as for dinner, there is the option of menu or daily set menu.
If staying in Oudenaarde or Kerkhove you should make the time to eat here!

Ridiculously long waiting times. Some of the staff is friendly, others are plain arrogant: after waiting more than an hour for 2 snacks and 2 salads, we asked the waiter if they hadn't forgotten about us, to which he replied by asking 'if we had to be somewhere'. Spent almost two hours for a quick bite...

Visited after local advice and were not disappointed. Tapas were all fried (not expected) but roastbeef was pretty cool.

You can eat in the restaurant side (farm house), or in the café side (former cow stables). The menu is the same, I think. Located in the middle of nowhere, this restaurant is the favorite meeting place for bikers and hikers. Make sure to book in advance: this place is crowded in the weekends (and closed the rest of the week).
The 'ribbekes' are delicious. The Chilean wine as well. Friendly and efficient service.

This place is an ideal stop for cyclists (or hikers) who want to numb the pain of the terrible cobbles layering the local bergs. It serves the most famous microbrewery beers and the best trappists of Belgium. The typical "ovenkoeken" are a local specialty and it made me think of my grandma who served these on wintery family gatherings with a thick slice of ham, mustard and pickles. Farmer style robust food, but delicious when combined with one of the amazing Belgian beers. Think away the spider webs and the shoddy decoration ... or no, just enjoy that too, it's part of the game here.

best chinese restaurant in a very wide area, fantastic cook, superfresh ingredients. You have to go a very long way to find an equivalent chinese restaurant.

«Standstill means regress» Therefore, our chef and executive housekeeper, Nadine Manhout, and her kitchen crew, apply high standards. We don't forget our cultural roots - we adapt them to meetmodern expectations. Culinary classics such turbot mousseline or warm-servedfoie gras in port sauce have survived the ravages of time. However, our varying gastronomical monthly menu offers culinary variations. Both, hurried businessmen as well as relaxed holiday makers will find suitable meals. Also in this context, we strive for flexibility and quick service provision. Our parlor - which also serves as smoking lounge -embraces you to enjoy an aperitif or a "nightcap".We also host receptions, anniversary banquets, birthday parties, and all kinds of other celebrations here. And make sureto visit the pristine vineyard (1728), next time you drop by. On our Terrace or in the marquee, we are pleased to serve you small snacks as well as culinary delicacies.
thank to the web I booked two rooms at La Sabliere, knowing that, in case of late arrival, also the restaurant is available.
the arrival was late....but we must thank the Belgian traffic for this, because we had the occasion to taste an optimum dinner that we suggest to all the future guests: the dish with "steak for two" is amazing, and the desserts too.
the same kind quality and taste found ag breakfast in the morning and....have a look to the web site, the rooms are really close to a dream! thank you

After having our wedding here, 6 years ago, we went back to celebrate our anniversary. Tom still makes the most delicious food, and Hilde is charming as usual. When on a special occasion, this is the place to be!

This is a beautiful restaurant in the countryside with nice views and stylish interior decoration. The menu list looks appealing with affordable prices.
The food was decent for a high-level brasserie, but not gastronomical. The recommended wines were not impressive. Service was hesitant, slow (one hour waiting before first course), even somewhat austere.
This is clearly a family restaurant, but during a late dinner with friends, the noise of yelling and running children and pubers irritated me.
But all by all, we had a great evening.
