Fine French dining with gourmet ingredients and great service in the centre of Naas, Co. Kildare. Awarded best restaurant in Co. Kildare in the 2011 & 2012 Irish Restaurant Awards, Vie de Chateaux has been at the top of the list of best restaurants in Ireland since opening in 2007.
I was really impressed with this restaurant. Beautiful decor and lovey ambiance. The staff are excellent. I had a beautifully cooked muscle starter followed by chicken for main course. The food was fabulous. Especially liked the French bread with olive oil as we waited for our food. I highly recommend Vie de Chateaux for a romantic meal, special occasion or for any foodie looking for a great place to eat. I have also had the lunch office catering from here and it was delicious and excellent value.

Another delicious meal from this great great restaurant. Brought family there who were here from England. They could not get over the kindness and generosity of this great place from the complimentary dishes to the attention we received to see was everything to our liking. All the different spices was just what the doctor ordered. We most definitely will be back sooner rather than later.A must go to place for great food value and ambiance. Thanks Adi and James.

Located in West Wicklow, at the end of the famous Wicklow Gap. Enjoy the majestic scenery & visit the production sites of “Braveheart”, “Michael Collins” & “Excalibur”. Established in 1790, this family-run, traditional Irish pub & restaurant, provides an all-day food service using local produce, fresh fish & delicious homemade cuisine. The Hollywood Inn is renowned for exceptional food & warm hospitality.
In spite of already having a party of 22 booked they accomodated us in the bar ( which often has food served there),There was a very varied choice on the menu including Turkey. The starters included the incredible " Hollywood Inn smokies " (Smoked Haddock) a great favourite of mine,.Spiced chicken wings ( one portion would easily do 2 people ) with a choice of how "hot" you wanted them and soup. The mains included their own "Hollywood Inn Burger", well known favourite, Fish and Chips ( to die for ) and Vegetarian tartlets with salad. Steaks cooked to taste and seasonal fair. Desserts included cheese cake, brownies, & Ice cream . As it was a special celebration we had our own cake which they kindly cut and served for us.The staff were very efficient , attentive & friendly without being intrusive.Their wine list was superb and their House Wines increadable. As usual there was no pressure on us to "eat up and leave" as there is in some places. We have eaten there several times and have always come away satisfied. I would recommend The Hollywood Inn to anyone interested in good food at a reasonable price.

Kelly's Steakhouse has, in short space of time become one the favourite restaurants for Portlaoise locals and visitors alike. Black Rock is our speciality - this is an exciting and healthy dining concept where you cook your own choice of meat on a volcanic stone. Enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and tantalizing aromas as your food cooks in front of you! And if you don't fancy steak, we have an extensive menu with plenty to choose from!
Had a very good meal here last night.
Nice booth table and the service all night form the staff was excellent.
Two perfectly cooked steaks with good chips, potatoes, veg etc.
Nice enough garlic mushrooms to start and my wife enjoyed her prawn starter too.
I thought my cheesecake dessert (pear, vanilla and white chocolate) was a bit bland and enjoyed the taste of the pavlova my wife got a bit more.
Overall very good experience.

Dined in this restaurant last night and it was my first time to have tapas so wasn’t quite sure what to expect. When we arrived the place was extremely busy so we were taken to a separate bar area to wait on our table, we waited for over an hour but the atmosphere was lovely so we didn’t find the time. There is a great variety of dishes available from seafood to meat to vegetarian options. I ordered 3 tapas. The dishes were quite small as a tapas would be but were full of flavour. I think tapas is a selective choice, the food was nice but overall not as filling as a single meal would be elsewhere, I suppose it depends on the person and what you are into

Zest is a well renowned local eatery, open early in the morning right throughout the day until late evening.
I had a good, satisfying lunch here today. I was in the vicinity and, having good experiences of this restaurant I could not resist coming back for more. Today I had the hamburger, excellent, followed by the bread pudding all washed down with a good quality beer. Strange though: on the entrance to the car park one is forced to drive down the wrong side of the lane going in and again when exiting. How bizarre! Also the entrance door to the restaurant is so narrow that I could manage by going in sideways and the toilet was so awkwardly arranged so that I had to do some contortions here also to get in an out. I do not understand the thinking behind these design blunders. Come on lads, get one of your architect friends to help out here.

I have very mixed feelings about Butt Mullins, others have sung its praise and I had high hopes when we dined here before Christmas, unfortunately something just didn’t sit right for me. The garlic mushrooms in my opinion were still raw in the middle, too thick to have been cooked through, however the beetroot relish and breads that came along side were divine. Mixed emotions.
The main course had me on the fence also with the ordering the Roasted Vegetable Tartlet, their divine chips were the only star as the “tartlet” was hard, dry and lacked the apparent vegetables, flavour or moisture to compliment the tart!Again not disgusted but not wowed. I will sing praise for the dessert that night, simple Christmas pudding, moist, fruity and melt in your mouth texture, thumbs up. Good service and lovely interior but, jury’s out on Butt Mullins for me.

Las Rada Wine & Tapas bar is a small, cosy bar that serves tasty tapas to share with your family and friends.
The atmosphere is nice although not as nice as the previous location.
We had food from the early bird menu which was good value. But I was disappointed again by the vegetarian option. Every "vegetarian" dish seemed to have Parmesan, which of course is NOT vegetarian, either in it or on it. I thought I had dodged it only to be seved with a side of salad smothered in pesto with parmesan.
This immediately makes me wary of what else may be lurking undeclared in dishes. It's disgusting, but also a potential allergy risk if the chef is not up to speed on basic ingredients.
Food was ok. Service was slow.
Overall not as good as it used to be.

Delicious home bakes, gourmet sandwiches and signature hot dishes. Superb coffees and teas. Homemade artisan jams, marmalades, dressings, cakes and bakes available for take away too.
I visit the Mad Hatter Cafe regularly with my young daughter and always leave feeling very impressed. The food is as tasty as you could ever expect in a “cafe”. The superfood salad is delicious and generously served. The staff are welcoming and efficient and always very child-friendly. You’d be mad not to try it!
