Nice places to sit, both inside when it's too cold, and outside for that great view. The variety of food they had was great and perfect for my sometimes fussy family. lol Plus it was served piping hot that lasted a long time in the cool weather outside on the benches which was a big plus. The schnitzel was good, the fried potatoes even better, and the hot chocolate & tea was a welcome bonus while my son scarfed down his Apple cake.

Heinz Winkler, one of the most successful top chefs in Germany and founder of the Cuisine Vitale offers unique star cuisine combined with excellent service. Between Salzburg and Munich, not far from the Chiemsee lake, the five-star Residenz Heinz Winkler is nestled in a Bavarian fairytale scenery.
One of the oldest german gourmet restaurents on a expected high level, even in the pricing. To stay in the market, they have to develop themselves to attract younger business generations.

Sweet little courtyard biergarten - great atmosphere, good service and the food was great, with reasonable prices! Near Schloss Hohenaschau and Kampenwandbahn.

Nice dinner in the beer garden. They had a lovely selection of stakes that day and it could be a meat lovers paradise! Nice surrounding and friendly staff made it a nice option for a nice Bavarian dinner. It seemed very popular with locals too! Be prepared to polish up your German though, no English spoken

Cafe Konig is a bit more expensive yes, but the quality and taste says it all. They also have a american style breakfast with eggs and ham and yes it is good ! The fresh pressed orange juice is a plus.
Sitting on the terrasse or inside, you will be served like a King. The choices of delectable cakes and sweets when you come in make your day, unless you are diabetic of course that could be an issue ;-) We even had the small chokolate and marzipan cigar wow for a taste. They have great sundea's if it's too warm outside. We kept going to the Konig cafe because of the variety of cakes, and this is were I got the best portion cafe in bayern no kidding. It's as good as the coffee in Austria !
Stop and try it, you will enjoy, then maybe think of a good walk on the Kampenwand so that you can start again the next day !

Like most places we've visited in Bavaria the service and quality of food and drink is top quality. We have two kids and they are always welcomed and have a good time. Zum Wildschutz is very authentic although non German speakers will be pleased to see an English translation in the menu. There is a small Seating area at the front and more tables inside. The beer is Paulaner. Highly recommended.

Always a good place to visit when a local insider takes you to a restaurant they know. We were not disappointed. Great food with a wide range to select from. The services was superb.

I went to Aschau this summer with my 3 kids. Being a one parent team is never easy, but stopping by the Blumen Cafe gave me boost. My youngest was hungry, and our usual breakfast place was closed. So we drove around thinking we would need to go to Prien or Rosenheim and came about this small house that was transformed into a quiet sanctuary to take a tea or excellent coffee. Looking at the menu I was surprised to see that a 2 eggs with ham and toast breakfast was available. So we jumped on that offer, and were completely satisfied with the home made breakfast ;-) My oldest daughter decided to try a cake, my son followed, and all was simply excellent. Too bad we were going back home the next day, because this place would have become our favority breakfast place. The decor is like if you entired a small doll house, all is clean and very unique. Then garten is quite and many beds of flower surround you. With the Kampenwand nearby, it's a relaxing stop after walking down for 3 hours !

This place is just plain memorable...the combination of its picturesque location, it's homey feel, and the fantastic & fresh food just stays with you and makes you inwardly smile. It almost feels like a friend of yours invited you to this great farmhouse near the Mountains and then cooked you this awesome meal from scratch using the best ingredients they could find.Their bread is also made & baked in-house. Don't miss this, folks. :)
