This is a typical oyster port restaurant but with a difference. The fish and shellfish are prepared with originality which makes a lovely change from the classic offerings in other seafood restaurants. Our waitress was very friendly as well as being efficient. The desserts were delicious and homemade. It was a stormy, Saturday evening at the end of February and the restaurant was very nearly full. I think that speaks for itself.

Was taken here by local friends. The meal was fantastic. I had a plate of seafood, served on ice and was a great quality and very fresh. 4of the party had a local in season fish which was filleted at the table. We asked the head waitress to recommend a white wine, which was excellent and a sensible price.
Worth a visit and you must book in the season as it gets very busy.

This restaurant has a lovely position on the port, with a real rustic feeling. The Terrace is lovely, and the welcoming staff give good service. The food is excellent and the fruits de mer just perfect. The menu is varied, but clearly it's a fish restaurant, so if fish isn't your thing - best avoid it or you might stay hungry. It's not cheap however, but for a treat and for seafood lovers, it's a perfect venue for a night out.

Everything was excellent from the friendly greeting to the plentiful profiteroles (one is enough for two normal adults). The poached oysters are a definite treat for a starter, the foie gras was superb too. The "Parillada de poisson" has 4 types of nicely broiled fish (it is quite filling), and the seafood was very pleasing too.
The Atelier is one of the best places we ate at in Andernos. We will go there again the next time we visit this area

Cute waiter, and he took time to tell us about the local celebration of the 14th of July. Simple place, family friendly.

6 of us came there for dinner. It took FOREVER to be served. At one point i complained and they offered us a bottle of wine to thank us for our patience. Though the place was full, i was not impressed. I ordered the cod with chorizo and it was served with the twine still around it..would have been nice had it been removed..It was good but it was nothing special. On the other hand if you want to it in Claouey, that IS your best option! They really tried to make up for the wait, but it was soooo long. One hour...too long.

We had the weekday lunch menu at approx 18 euros for 2 courses. Everything was cooked to perfection, using only fresh products. My esturgeon was full of flavour and beautifully presented. We finished with the famous souffle, fantastic. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, but not overbearing.

Lovely restaurant in a stunning location overlooking the Bassin d'Arcachon.
We had fresh local fish which was accompanied by a lovely white wine from the Entre Deux Mers Region.
Service was excellent and it was the best meal we had during our week long visit to Le Gironde.

Went looking for fresh seafood in Lege-Cap-Ferret, but didn't want to get sucked in to a larger tourist restaurant further down the coast. Enjoyed our evening at the Claouey Port-- the food was fresh and delicious. Service was a little slow, but the atmosphere was very enjoyable.

Arrived in Ares for weeks stay at the campsite next door and didn't fancy cooking something after a long journey.
It was also an opportunity to secretly watch the Euro 2016 final while eating and drinking in the company of a large group of excited Frenchmen.
The young waiter had limited English, but was willing to have a bash when my school French ran out. He was attentive and really tried to ensure that we had an enjoyable meal.
The menu is not the largest but it was supplemented by a few interesting choices. I elected for one of the specials lemon sole which arrived a whole cooked fish, complete with head and tail.
This is the way that the French cook fish and when I recovered from my initial shock, it was delicious. Perhaps we Brits are spoiled by always having our fish filleted.
The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were done very well and balanced out the meal. I really enjoyed my main course.
I decided to have some ice cream to finish off the meal and there is a very wide selection to chose from.
An enjoyable meal.
