While staying in Platys Gialos we visited place twice for lunch and dinner. Restaurant has a lot to offer and food is very nice and tasty. Fishes and sea food sometimes come frozen so if you mind ask waiter for it. Recommended to visit when you are around !!

Romantic environment with a great view and protected from undesirable weather.

Closed for the season. We will re-open May 1st. Winter is coming.
Absinthe is a restaurant that over the years has maintained an excellent standard offering high quality and tasty dishes, served in a charming, professional way in a unique, beautiful environment. Every time I come here there are also new dishes being created like the delicious tuna tartar served on a beautiful plate made by a local pottery. It was heavenly as was the excellent Greek rose wine! I also noticed a small exhibition of Sifnos photographies on the walls!

Greek restaurant on the island of Sifnos, in the village of Kamares. Not far from where boats dock.
Meropi is a nice traditional Sifnos taverna where you can likewise enjoy watching the water or the people strolling by on the port street. Enjoy some traditional dishes like the Sunday chick peas or a simple Greek salad and feel you are on holiday.

Perfect italian restaurant situated exactly in the center of apolonia. Open just for dinner. Very professional service, good italian wine selection and fresh original italian food. I dont understand the complains about the prices? How much do you want to spend in a good italian restaurant? 10€ per person? Go and take a souvlaki!

Although we visited Camaron on our last visit here and were not impressed, mostly due to the chaos of the passing cars and trucks while seated right by the road,we needed to have some comfort food(pizza) one night and opted for this place since the one next door was jam -packed. We managed to get a table on the balcony this time which made our stay a bit more tolerable. Very good pizza and good Caesar's salad . Very warm and and somewhat sour red wine.

This place is so pretty - my daughter called it Princess Land. But it was all downhill from when we sat down. We had a very unresponsive waiter who took our order for cold drinks and doughnuts. We had hoped for one of their speciality iced teas but they weren't available - in fact we were brought bog-standard cans of Lipton! Our doughnuts didn't appear and after about 20 minutes we asked the waiter about them - he acknowledged our request with a nod, suggesting that they were coming. After a further 20 minute wait we left our money for the drinks and left. Very weird place and unlike other, much less pretentious Greek cafés on Sifnos.

Yes, the prices are slightly higher than normal in Sifnos, but what you get in return is a truly satisfying dining experience. We watched a couple of people turn away due to the prices; don't make the same mistake. Recommended by a local, the food is modern Sifnian cuisine, with regional specialities a highlight of their menu, but even old favourites like the humble horiatiki salad are well above average: perfect tomatoes, congruous capers! Everything that made it to our table was just a delight, and a standout after 3 months of travelling through Greece: grilled squid with chick peas and beetroot, Byzantine biftekia, traditional lamb cutlets with mint and thyme, octopus salad... it was all absolutely delicious, and washed down the nicest of white wines from Santorini. The setting of the restaurant is also just a delight, so charming, in one of the Cyclades' most charming backstreets. Our table was under a fig tree, next to a blue domed church, with a view to the pedestrianised Cycladic street and some pink bougainvillea. Does it get better than this? Outdoor dining comes with plenty of shade. Bill for four, with drinks and ample food, came in at 90 euro. Special mention for the super friendly service. We combined this restaurant, located in Apollonia, with a morning in gorgeous hilltop town Kastro, and an afternoon swimming in charming Kamares. A day in Paradise.

Pita chicken gyros is my faforite faast food in Greece.I visited this place twice.First time chicken was undercooked without nice spices they usually add, the second time I found burnt pork meat leftovers (ordered chicken) and an amount of tzatziki souce was ridiculous just about a teaspoon.
Do not look like a tourist if you want to enjoy your meal!

Okyalos restaurant is located in Sifnos from 2002 offering quality food in reasonable prices. We operate in the best professional way we can in all aspects of the business.A client that comes and eats here will surely visit us again.
A trip back to the 90's to a touristic Greece we would like to forget!!! Staff trying to "fish out" customers from the street and a mixed cuisine trying to combine some traditional dishes with some other "forgotten" international ones. Complete lack of imagination combined...MoreNo comments for a critic that represents the minority of the total 233 so far.
