We arrived here for lunch on recommendation of our friends (Belgians living in Lousa) as one of their favorite restaurants. As always in Portugal people seem to prefer lunch over dinner. We had an excellent experience at D Sesnando. We took the gratinated goat cheese 'Queijo Rabacal' a little pastry bottom with excellent cheese and little honey. For main we had the delicious Bacalhau Donna Ninna, fabulous onion sauce and fine crisply baked potatoes. Accompanied with two nice glasses of white wine, bread, olives ... all for 31 euro. This was our best Portugese meal ever!!

Stopped here for lunch. It's easy to miss, heading West on IC8 it's about 2 km East of Pombal.
Clean, big and with ample parking the restaurant is about 500m off the main road.
Had excellent espetadas de lulas, really nice accompaniments, wine, bread and a magnificent doce da casa. Staff were very attentive and professional
Definitely a return visit

We visited the stone house village and decided to have late lunch here. It was superb. Although we were late and some meals were sold out we had lamb and did not regret it. Number 1 restaurant in the region!Thank you for your kind words. I hope you can visit us again someday, hoping we can fully correspond to your best expectations. Best regards, Renato Antunes

Been going for lunch on a weekly basis for over a year. Lovely clean restaurant, with great food, generous portions, and a varied menu. The owner speaks English, is friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Definitely worth a visit!

A good place to visit if you're in the area. Ample parking, good toilets and a clean restaurant. The food is good Portuguese fayre at a reasonable price with a decent wine list too. Octopus is the dish to go for!

I've been to the restaurant a few times now and I've never been disappointed the food and service has always been really good. On this occasion I went with a group of 16 friends. Everyone said what a great night it was. The food was...MoreMuito obrigado a todos pela preferência!

We visited this lovely new restaurant shortly after it opened, it truly is a lovely place and it lacks nothing other than good food. The dishes are poor, very poor and were served one at a time and were cold. Hard to understand when there was only our party of eight in the restaurant. The duck in Orange sauce is an absolute no, no. There is no sauce and you need a chain saw to cut the meat. I have been back to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, the poor old duck was as consistently bad as the first time I had eaten it.

I had an enjoyable lunch here in November: soup, main course, pudding, bread and wine for 9 euros. Plenty of food. Self-service cafeteria, so no language problems. Excellent value. I can recommend it!

A group of us stayed here for two February nights as part of a local cricket tour. We had twin rooms. Ansiao is not a tourist area so the hotel probably reflects that. It is a little old fashioned and basic, but is clean, friendly and represents good value for money. February nights in central Portugal are cold we've discovered; bring good pyjamas! We'd be happy to stay again.
