We could sit outside, on the first day of our holiday. We were welcomed and the kids loved to watch the real wood-fire on which their pizza was baked. I enjoyed the duck breast (which was a little bit too far cooked) and my wife had a very nice salad with an espuma of cheese.
Great place

My family was visiting Ales during the festivities surrounding Bastille Day. While wandering along the river front, we saw this clean fashionable restaurant right in the middle of some very mundane fast food shops. Just for the heck of it we stopped to see the menu. We decided to take a chance and are we glad we did. The Formulae Menu for the evening was excellent and so perfectly cooked and presented. It was by far the best meal we've had in France this year. Coudos to the chef and the very bright and cheerful staff.

This restaurant is one of the few to choose from in Arles. It's on the main square, Place Henri Barbusse. The menus offered sounded reasonable and good, but the food was a great dissapointment. I chose a two course meal and paid a 4 Euro surcharge for the seafood main course. The seafood appetizer actually had more seafood than the main course and they described the main course as having "seches" plural when actually it had about 1/3 of a single cuttlefish. I also paid a premium for an AOC wine which was the least interesting wine I've ever tasted. I can't imagine why they have it on the menu, except that they get a good deal on it. The service was rather chaotic and the menu on a huge (6' tall) chalk board which they kept moving around the crowded restaurant. At one point one of the waiters knocked it over and whacked a customer on the head with it! Skip this place.

Popular for their extensive choice of salads, this restaurant is busy every night. If you arrive early (before 7.30pm) you might just be lucky to get a table without a reservation, after that you might be disappointed as it fills up quickly every evening. The food is generally very good, though to be fair the two salads that I chose on different nights (The Louisiana and the Indienne) were rather lacking in flavour which was a little disappointing as I had hoped that they would pack more of a punch. However, the ingredients are all very fresh and presentation is excellent.

This restaurant run by two young brothers is well worth the visit. The decor of this "long" off white restaurant is very pleasant. The staff humerous and efficient. The food very good, try the Saturday lunch menu which included: seasonal salad, the feuilleté aux moules, fish and steak tartare. All without critic Keep up the good standard and work. .A restaurant to be revisited next time we are in the vicinity. One little hic .... the lock on one of the ladies toilet doors was broken, hope it has now been repaired!!!!

Excellent value meal with very good quality bio/organic ingredients. The Cévenol salad was particularly good and set the scene for a very tasty meal. Duck main course with with cheese or desert all for just over 17€! Very good local organic wine. Friendly service.

This long standing classic French family run restaurant, with superb freshly cooked local cuisine, was a gourmets and locals delight. On this Friday evening about a dozen locals, mainly couples ate happily together.
The waitress took time to explain the content and nature of the courses from the varied menu. All the dishes were delivered piping hot [apart from the sorbet naturally] and also delivered in a timely, unhurried fashion. Therefore the meal was delicious and a pleasure to eat. Local wine also complimented the food and rounded off the evening, finshed up with fresh coffee natuarlly.

The Seating is confortable, the staff are friendly and very proffessional.
We dinned a la carte prices are reasonable and the quality exceed the expectations.
The fillet de boeuf was perfect.
We were the last group to leave around 23:30 never a hint of hurry up! All in all a place worth looking for.

just went in for lunch on an Easter Saturday. Went for the cheapest option, the €13.50 menu. Three courses with a choice at each stage. Included a trout in lemon sauce and a hearty beef cheek stew. The à la carte selection looked very impressive...MoreThank you very much Le Chef Thomas
