This restaurant is a very traditional style village restaurant with lots of wood in the main room but with a charming outside garden area. It's a little close to the road but it's usually not a busy road in the evenings.
The pasta is all homemade and very tasty. I didn't have a pizza but had a sample of the homemade pizza bread and it was really good. You can order the toppings you want and the price is variable according to how many toppings you include. Average price is CHF 25 for a large and very nicely made pizza. The menu is inviting and the wine list good. The new team is very friendly and typically Italian. It's well worth a visit.

We went to the restaurant with a party of four, ordered salad and had a steak with french fries/vegetables.
We found the service not very attentive, the steak was ok (does it really need to be black/coal on the outside?), the french fries and the sauces to the meat were very good.
The price of the recommended wine by the glass seemed expensive. Overall ok, but no lasting memory.

Sihlhalde is located in the beautiful countryside of Gattikon. The restaurant itself is romantic and rural with a small farm which belongs to the restaurant. The service is attentive and competent. We all went for the tasting menu. The homemade Brasato ravioli were definitely one of the highlights of the meal. Also the seabass was excellent. They have a nice selection of strong goat and sheep cheeses which I found amazing.

We visited the restaurant on our last evening in Mettmenstetten while visiting family. The service was terrific catering really well for both the 2 and 4 year old children in the family.
We enjoyed a range of dishes including the 'hot stone' Pferde filet steak, Kalbsleberli with Rosti, and Weinerschnitzel with salad. The prices are of course expensive by Australian standards but are average for Switzerland.
Great location, nice service and good food. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Restaurant design is modern but cosy. Nice garden. Very friendly service. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, interesting choice of wines. We had lamb and piccata with risotto and vegetables, quality was outstanding and prices are very moderate for Swiss standards. We left it to the waiter for choosing the wine, his recommendation was perfect. So don't look for another place, the "Weingarten" is number one in Affoltern!

We went there to celebrate with our teenage daughters and were very happy with our choice. We shared some very delicious starters and exchanged bits of our main dishes later. The meat was prepared according to our instructions and the desert excellent. The place is a bit pricy though.

After moving to Affoltern am Albis, my family and I always wondered about Central: the restaurant was always busy on the weekends. We finally tried it out when my parents visited and were very happy with the experience.
Staff was friendly and helpful (especially with a small child). Decor was a touch better than the typical Swiss style of bright lights, wood panelling, etc. That being said, it was "warm" and "cozy" and a generally a nice place to be.
Dinner was traditional European fare, however the restaurant also specialises in Steak Tartar. So much, so they have an entire menu card devoted to different styles of tartar. My wife and parents went for warm food, which looked nice (albeit I didn't taste it). My tartar was to die for: fresh, lots of flavour, and a nice solid spicy kick.
Prices were above average for a Swiss night out, with the total meal (including some drinks) of well over CHF 300. Nonetheless, it was a very nice experience and I would happily go back.

Very good price quality ratio. Pizzas are excellent and can compete with the best in the greater Zurich area. My favorite is the ruccola & Parma prosciutto. Not only pizzas are good. The rest of the menu good as well. Ideal with the family, children friendly, nice outside Seating under the "Tiglio." The main street & roundabout just nearby can be noisy, but outside rush hours the Seating outside is very enjoyable. They do take-away as well. Staff friendliness variable, serving you a free ramazzoti to digest the usually light bill or almost forget you the next time you show up...

Modern looking motorway services that spans the autobahn between Zurich and Luzern.
Has a wide ranging food court including Thai, Italian, Cafe, Grill etc..
Friendly service, large portions, great food, also has a small children's play area.
Everyone can have what they want at a resonable price in a nice environment. If you're travelling and need to stop, you can't go wrong.
Would visit again
