Abkhazia (Abkhazian: Аҧсны́ Apsny [apʰsˈnɨ]; Georgian: აფხაზეთი Apkhazeti [ɑpʰxɑzɛtʰi]; Russian: Абха́зия, tr. Abkhа́ziya, IPA: [ɐpˈxazʲɪjə]) is a disputed territory on the eastern coast of the Black Sea, south of the Greater Caucasus mountains, in northwestern Georgia. It covers 8,660 square kilometres (3,340 sq mi) and has a population of around 340,000. Its capital is Sukhumi. The separatist Abkhazian polity, formally the Republic of Abkhazia, is recognised as a state only by Russia and three other UN member states. While Georgia lacks control over Abkhazia, the Georgian government, the United Nations and the majority of the world's governments consider Abkhazia part of Georgia, whose constitution designates the area as the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.

High quality produce and great tasting food. Great location, nice views from the second floor Terrace. Shame that their beer is warm, a small detail that would make this an otherwise great location.

Good place to eat lunch if you are in New Athos, they also have a great beach club. Food was excellent, from soups, salads, chicken nuggets for the children and pizzas. Very high quality standard European cuisine if you are travelling through Abkhasia.

Доехали сами на авто, проблем не было никаких с этим, можно обойтись без экскурсии спокойно. Все утопает в зелени, река, водопады и почти безупречная кухня. Не хотелось уезжать. На вечер взяли черного вина

Мы были в хинкальной. Еда вкусная, брали хинкали, пельмени и харчо. Не пожалели, что далеко шли. Обслуживание суровое: неулыбчивые дамы сурово и деловито ответили на вопросы, вынесли блюда и рассчитали. Наверное, таким и должно быть ретро кафе ...

Очень вкусные десерты, как всегда. Конечно тоже норм. Жаль, что не принимают карты для оплаты, и сидеть можно только в хорошую погоду, без дождя. В основном заведение посещают местные.

Возможно единственная столовая с оплатой по картам! Цены как в обычной столовой Абхазии: на двоих первое, салат, второе и компот в районе 500р. Блюда сделаны с душой и любовью. Есть зал для курящих. В помещении работает кондиционер. Лучше приходить не в "час пик" так как посетителей много и придется ждать свободный столик.

The history of this restaurant is very interesting. The building was originally built by an Abkazian prince and has survived through many wars and regime changes. The architecture alone is worth a look and its in the most beautiful part of Gagra. The property resides on large beach front Gardens and is adjacent to some very luxurious Soviet resorts. Big trees everywhere.
The restaurant is in the main ballroom of the building. Upstairs check out the views from the veranda.
The salad, beer, and vegetables were mediocre. But the fish was really really good. Served with some caviar and sour cream sauce.

Ресторан очень уютный, состоит из открытой террасы и закрытого зала, вечером играет живая музыка, красивый интерьер и приятное обслуживание.
Но: ценник ресторанный, а блюда не очень вкусные. Мы не первый раз в Абхазии и живем неподалёку (в Сочи), поэтому искушены кавказской кухней и знаем в ней толк. Здесь блюда абхазкой и кавказской кухни нас совсем не впечатлили. Надеюсь, это временное явление, так как планируем вернуться в Абаату-отель, а сам антураж ресторана нам очень понравился.
