Vechnyi Zov

Our friday night experience was awful.
By far it's been the most expensive meal of my life in terms of price/amount/quality, and we waited more than one hour and a half to be served!
We ordered a greek salad and two kinds of white siberian salmon.
After 40 minutes waiting, we asked for the salad but nothing happened. After 10 extra minutes, we asked directly to the service manager and 10 minutes later, when we were about to leave the restaurant, our first course arrived.
The greek salad (which took more than an hour to be prepared) wasn't nothing special and didn't
include the real feta cheese that was supposed to.
Then we waited 10 more minutes for the salmon and asked again, after 15 minutes the grilled salmon was served. It was an unbelievable tiny portion of non-grlled salmon in the middle of a plate with a big slice of lemon (half the size of the salmon) and three black olives. The salmon wasn't tasty and we didn't like it.
Finally, we waited our last 10 minutes for the second salmon to be served (an hour and a half after we ordered it). It was the same small amount and the same shameful garnish, but this time the salmon was good and tasty.
Before we leave the restaurant, we argued with the service manager, but couldn't get any explanation about the big delays and the poor quality of the food further than "it's friday night".

We've been there for the first time and have been surprised by comparatively high quality of the food. The cheese plate comprised Brie, chèvre and several other types of cheese. The point is that the cheeses on the plate exactly matched what was written in the menu (not typical for Russia where it is just hard to buy these cheeses). The grilled salmon was good, with fresh vegetables. The fried potatoes with mushrooms and onion were like in my grandma's kitchen! The Pesto sauce was not the Pesto at all though. The waiter was quite polite. Beer was not the best, but quite well. We spent about 1750 rubles (almost 40 Euro) for two. I would also say that there is not smth special in decoration inside. It could be smth a bit more original. Think, we shall return.

The decoration is beautiful and the staff is very polite and friendly. We visited a few places in Tomsk and this one was our best experience. You could feel that the food is cooked at moment and with passion. The staff was happy to assist you and give an advice and make you feel home. Will definiately visit them again during the next travel to Tomsk.

The cafe is situated in the shopping centre TSUM. They mainly serve dishes of Italian cuisine - pizza, pasta, etc.
The prices are rather affordable. You can get a good meal for about 400-600 roubles.
An interesting detail - the tables and Seating are fixed on the floor, so you cannot move the bench to seat more comfotably. It is also impossible to rearrange the tables, so the cafe is not suitable for large companies.
The interior design is rather simple but stylish. They used good decorations for the New year and Christmas holidays this year (2015).
I really like the menu, they usually have special offers for various holidays.
The staff is friendly and helpful, they know the menu very well. An interesting detail is that they mark your order on your personal paper placemat.
The place is not ideal, but both decent and affordable.

Lovely underground interior, a movie on jazz history was being shown at the time of our visit. We liked each meal we've ordered, the price was okay, overall a pleasant and positive experience. My only complaint would be that the waiters could have been more attentive.

This was my first visit to the cafe. I was invited by an acquaintance who used to visit it frequently. He came with his family and was very surprised by the poor service. First, waitress came to us only after two invitations from our part, then she misunderstood our order and brought to the son of my acquaintance the dish that he never asked.
To make up for this situation the waitress suggested to choose one of their available desserts on the house. We've accepted this offer, as this cafe is famous for its desserts. Unfortunately, I have found nothing special in it, probably, it was not the best choice.
Coffee was rather tolerable.
I don't find the place very cosy and it's unlikely that I will become a frequenter.

Cosy cafe especially if you want to have coffee and dessert. There is a good choice of coffee and tea, ice-cream, waffles, pancakes, etc.
There are also some salads, soups and main courses, but these are rather pricey. Be ready to spend 700-800 roubles if you want to have a proper meal.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The interior design is nice.
There is no special offers for lunch, as in many other cafes, but there is a breakfast menu.
