Thrissur is regarded as the cultural capital of Kerala, a beautiful coastal region of southwest India with a history deeply rooted in the spice trade. For an exercise in absolute serenity, schedule an overnight houseboat tour of the local backwaters. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the temple festival of Pooram, you’ll experience lively music performances, fireworks, shadow puppet shows and processionals of beautifully adorned elephants.

One of the oldest hotels & pure veg restaurant in town
One of the best restaurants to have dosas. The South Indian cuisine is excellent.but I will not recommend dishes like chilly good or gopi Manchurian. They have special dosas like mushroom masala dosas or paneer dosas.. which are excellent. Paper dosas is a special item of this hotel.they serve meals for lunch. The prices are in mid range.

The breakfast spread is rather good, predominantly Indian food. The dinner buffer is priced reasonably. The staff are quite courteous and the seating/ambience is comfortable as well. Service from the live counters during breakfast is rather quick and during the dinner as well, when ordering a-la-carte. Overall, a good place to eat out with family and friends.

Indian wok is a favorite of mine when it comes to indo-Chinese food. It was located at a calm and peaceful location with limited Seating. Now they have moved to the bustling Shoba City Mall... If u are visiting the mall, I would recommend you to try the food from Indian wok.

Located at the Paliam Road, near North Private Bus Stand next to the cinema halls Kairali and Sree.... this place opens very early and breakfast is available piping hot from 7am onwards. Crunchy Meduvadas, crispy dosas..... ghee roast and masala dosas.
The masala in the masala dosas and cutlets are different as beetroot is a regular ingredient used to make masala. Ginger is a forerunner in flavour of the masala too.
With GST gone down, rates have become more affordable But some private restaurants still tend to not decrease the rates by increasing the original price. Thus the final total still remains the same or increases, but never decreases.

Lulu International Convention Center and Garden Hotels was launched In 2006 and is located In the heart of Thrissur – the cultural capital of Kerala – God’s Own Country! Lulu - a global brand owned by the great visionary and entrepreneur Mr. M. A. Yusuff Ali - is well known for its chain of shopping malls and hypermarkets located mainly in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. With a built–up area of 160000 sq. ft. the sheer spaciousness and opulence of this venue is more than enough to take anyone’s breath away!. We also provide car parking facility for 1800 cars and even features an exclusive helipad. Just 45 minutes drive from Cochin International Airport and 4 kms from Thrissur Railway Station, Lulu is aptly located very near to the city and Thrissur itself as we all know is located in the centre of Kerala. Easy connectivity and accessibility to all major and important cities and tourist destinations is a major advantage of Lulu’s location.
A great place to dine with your family. We dined at this restaurant thrice we were staying at Lulu garden hotels and expected to cost a bomb. But surprisingly this place is actually a budget-friendly premium restaurant that does not cut any corners in terms of ingredients or quantity.

Hotel Merlin International is a part of the Merlin Group of Thrissur which was founded by V. L. Ittiachen, a great visionary and Businessman with sound entrepreneurial skills. With diversified interests in Hospitality, Real Estate, Finance etc. the group had its operations centered in Chennai. The Hotel was established in 1948 in the name “The Oriental State Hotel” on a sprawling 4 acre property in the heart of Thrissur City. The Hotel was one of the favourite destination for the visiting dignitaries and travelers as well as for the local population as it was one of the first buildings to be build with cement and modern building material in Thrissur. A stones throw from the famous “Vanchikulam” where the country boats landed in Thrissur in the olden times with merchandise from far and near, the Hotel serviced traders and travelers from all parts of the country and abroad.
Beautiful seafood and authentic Kerala cuisine meat preparations along with a nice alternate choice of veg dishes good to make you feel fu after a sumptuous meal. Located close to centre of city right behind the railway station main entrance. Also accessible from the road behind the railway station. It is one of the oldest in Thrissur.
