Please avoid the disappointment of being turned away. Aigas Field Centre is a residential business and not open to passing visitors. Prior booking is always required. The internationally acclaimed and award-winning field centre for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland; Aigas is a Highland estate and family home offering unsurpassed hospitality, educational holidays and wildlife experiences to residential visitors from all over the world.
With high expectations from all the great TA reviews, I went to Aigas as part of a Road Scholar group - and Aigas met and exceeded all those expectations. My previous 2 weeks in Scotland had been as part of a photo tour that was long on photo ops, but extremely light on information about history, geology, lore, ecology, etc etc. The wonderfully trained, articulate and enthusiastic rangers at Aigas filled in all the gaps and then some.
Sir John's lecture about the history of the Highlands brought the Jacobite Rebellion and so much more into sharp focus, with application to US history and today's world situations. I could have listened for another hour. Lady Lucy's concern for the needs of her guests and the dietary peculiarities of each one make the meals a delight, and she, Hermione and the rest of the staff make it clear they will do their best to make everyone's stay as wonderful as they can. And everything is done with such ease and grace.
Thanks to all for a wonderful stay. I am sending my friends (and maybe will sneak back with one of them)!

Enjoyable and manageable family cycle up the glen; its a decent length of run (c45 km) so bring lunch/ snack and water. Road is technically closed to cars so makes for a more relaxed cycle (& you park close by). A taste of the highlands landscape without being so remote

There is something so peaceful and thoughtful about walking through ruins. Seeing the Beauly Priory allowed me to visualize the tremendous craftsmanship required to build these structures in a pre-modern era. If you are a Ken Follet fan of his Pillars of Earth then this is a must place to visit.

The Childrens Farm is open for the summer, please check our web-site. Thanks for up to date details Support your local farmer by visiting our family run farm and farm shop. With fresh eggs, home baking, a great range of farm vegetables. The farm shop is packed with a wide range of treats to tempt all tastes! Review from a customer We came upon the farm shop on a day out & stopped for a look. We were delighted with the different products. It was lovely to see the hens running free & happy & the fresh eggs were delicious. The Highland cow were so delightful & we were able to get really close to them. The Childrens farm is not just for children as we had a great experience feeding the animals. Thank you Karen for such a lovely morning. We will be back soon x
We have been coming to Robertson's children's farm for years now and it is always a great day. There are lots of friendly animals for the kids to feed. Sheep, goats, chickens, alpaca, ducks, rabbits. Then some other animals to look at but not feed, donkeys and pigs.
Then there is a massive play area with a big sandpit in the middle, ride on toys, climbing frame with slide, swings, playhouses and loads more. There are table and chairs perfect for having a picnic, which is exactly what we do.
The sun always shines when we visit too which is a bonus. Friendly and helpful staff, and just a really lovely place to go with the family.
Then there is the farm shop which is full of amazing produce with lots of delicious things to choose from.
Today was our first visit of many this year.

Campbell & Co, commonly known as "Campbell's of Beauly", was established in the village of Beauly in 1858 by the Campbell family. We specialise in countrywear, knitwear, and have our own bespoke tailoring staff, not only for the making of sporting suits, but also for more formal wear, ladies' wear, and typical Highland dress. Sporting tweeds form an important part of the large selection of fabric kept in stock. Some of the designs are woven specially, and can only be obtained from Campbell's of Beauly, but the ranges in stock include tweeds of various weights from a number British of mills, all woven in the UK. Our retail shops name "The Highland Tweed House" is a testament to our experience and expertise in this specialist niche area, and the company is often referred to as the "guardians of tweed". Some Sporting Estates have their own private tweeds for the use of their owners, employees, gillie's and game-keepers. This traditional Scottish custom has been revived by many of the smaller estates which have changed hands over the last 20-25 years, and Campbell's of Beauly are proud to supply many of these. Historically the company held the Royal Warrants for both HRH The Prince of Wales (later The Duke of Windsor) and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. In an era where it's becoming more difficult to find traditional British made bespoke tailoring, Campbell's are fortunate to have the skills of Mr. Tom Owen who succeeded his father who retired in 1985. Tom Owen trained as a cutter in Glasgow and worked with his father, who after selling his own business moved to Beauly in 1967. Since then Tom has honed his tailoring skills at the home of sporting tweeds. In addition of the large range of tweeds and countrywear range, Campbell's of Beauly specialise in luxury British made knitwear. Sourcing only the finest qualities from the best knitting mills in Hawick, Campbell's pride ourselves in offering a premium knitwear product of the highest detail and quality.

Kilmorack Gallery is one of Scotland's leading commercial fine-art galleries. We are located in an eighteen century church close to the beautiful Affric and Strathfarrar glens but we attract art loving clients from throughout the UK and beyond. Exhibitions are always changing so please look at our website to find out what is currently on. Our regular stable of artists includes over 60 of the most interesting and desirable painters and sculptors you will find in any UK gallery.
Kilmorack Gallery is a destination for serious art lovers and buyers, and one of the top cultural attractions in the Highlands and the Inverness area. What puts it a few cuts above other contemporary art galleries is that it never seems to compromise on quality. Tony Davidson, owner and manager, has been showing and thus supporting Scotland-based artists and sculptors for 20 years now, having done up the old Gothic Revival kirk himself. I confess I'm one of Kilmorack Gallery's addicted buyers. You will be tempted too!

Antiques dealer specializing in Scottish silver, jewellery, paintings, porcelain, glass, clocks, arms and Highland regalia dating from 1700 onwards.
... he's only moved on to the front street! If you're in Beauly a trip to Iain Marr is a must. A tremendous, old-worldy and gentlemanly welcome awaits and greets you as you walk through the door. Did I mention the quality of his antiques? Predominately, a lot of hall-marked silver (he doesn't do silver plate), but much else besides and as one would expect in a quality establishment such as this. Did I mention my wife loves him? Well, she does, and so do I. Don't pass by, you'll miss a real treat (and he'll make you a coffee) ...

Join me, a true Scottish Highlander from the Clan MacLeod for a fantstic fun filled day throughout the Scottish Highlands. My tours are fun filled and informative. They cover everything from the main attractions to the off the beaten track hot spots. This will be a real highland experience for you!
Our party of two recently enjoyed a half day tour around the major sites near Inverness with our friendly and knowledgeable guide, Dougie MacLeod. Well we were having such a good time we turned a planned 4 hours into 6! Dougie tailored the tour to our exact interests and we took in highlights such as Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Beauly Priory, Culloden, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle. We traveled local, scenic back roads at our pace, spending as much or as little time at each as we needed. Our guide had all the facts and background but didn't deliver a rehearsed "patter" as you'd get on a larger tour. It was like having a really interesting conversation with a well-informed friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!
