Had been at Baranti/Muradi on last December and stayed at a wonderful Resort named Baranti Tourist Point (8017202499).The resort was at the beneath of Gorang hill which is just adjacent to the Dam.Actually officially this dam is under Ramchandrapur irrigation project. I enjoyed the beauty of Baranti/Muradi thoroughly and most fascinating is its SUN SET. Even tourists from Biharinath/Gar Panchakot visit this place to take a glimpse of SUN SET.I visited Biharinath /Susunia/Jay chandi hill/Gar Panchakot /Panchet dam/Maithon dam/Kalyaneswari temple by cab which our Resort arranged. But perhaps most fascinating feature came in evening when Camp fire was arranged at the resort and wolf came just beside the boundary of the Resort.I came to know that this is the characteristics of this Resort that when Camp fire arranged and chicken are being roasted, hyena/Wolf etc come outside. This is because the Resort is with the hill having full of flora &fauna.

I visited Ajodhya hill in mid of Aug'17. On 11.08.17 started from howrah by chakradharpur passenger, boarded at purulia junction on 12th morning. we have a pre-booked car there which was with us during tour & dropped us at purulia station again on 14th.
we went to our hotel akash hill top which is the best private hotel till date at the hill top. its just beside the govt. accommodation. Manager & staffs are very good. Rooms are also pretty good. nice view from the roof. on that day we visited murguma dam, upper dam, lower dam. in the evening we went to krishak bazar at baghmundi for necessary vegetables & meat purchase.
next day we started after bf & visited marble lake, bamni falls, turga falls, turga lake, pakhi pahar, khairabera dam, chorida village. we had lunch at sonkupi cafe.
next day morning we checked out hotel after bf at 10.00. on the way to station we visited usuldungri sunrise point. its a must visit place i suggest. from there we took a different road called ghati bera road which was earlier affected by maoist activity. but the road has a very nice scenic beauty. at last we reached station & catch our train lalmati exp.
for car booking you can contact Mr. Sankar Mahato 9800611522 (can refer my name), very nice person.

Any adjective will be a less appreciation for this guys.... a wonderful environment surrounded with beautiful scenic beauty make our visit at Palash Bitan very very special, worthy and enjoyable.
The cottages are moderately build & well maintained. We liked the food and we appreciate their hospitality. Different events like chou dance, camp fire, outing of surrounding locations makes the visit more exciting.
Altogether we are very satisfied & will visit again.

Raghunathpur
it was the monsoon of last year... July's end !! We 3 friends decided to have a half day trip to Joychondi Pahar, Purulia from Asansol ... woke up early around 6.30 and got ready to take the ASN-TATAnagar MEMU from Burnpur stn @8.30AM ... we reached Joychondi Pahar stn @9.15AM ... its a short 45mins journey .... !! The view when entering the station is fabulous ... you can see the Joychondi Hills is the distance as the train approaches JOC stn ....
Had our breakfast at the stn. food stalls... and started our journey for the Hills hiring an AUTO ricksaw (takes 10mins max) ... the auto dropped us at the foot of the main hill of Joychondi... it was around 10:30AM .... The heat of the Sun was tremendous ... but we started going up the stairs (around 600 of them before you reach the top) !!!!
Upon reaching the top we got exposed to the breathtaking view of Purulia's landscape... we could see the railway line, the town of Raghunathpur at a distance... and then there was the Joychondi MATAs temple at the top.... there was only a few present there due to off season ...
We decided to soak in the calmness of the temple, the amazing view and relaxed there for 2hrs almost....!!
At around 1PM we decided to come down... and while returning made our way through the small village , walking on foot !!
Had our lunch (rice, dal, sabji, chutney) at a small hotel near the JOC stn.. and took the train back to ASN (MEMU) !!
A wonderful half day trip it was ........

This is the gem attraction in Purulia. Best place for spending morning and evening. Newly built pavement is ideal for walking. There is a small island in the middle where birds live peacefully. Joggers park is added attraction. Beautifully llandscaped garden and pathways amidist the canopy of big trees is well maintained by the city administration. We enjoyed the morning walks when hundreds of cranes strole on the water for their big catch. Anglers are welcome to this place. In the evening mouth watering local food available for the food lovers. Purulia Science Centre is located by the side of the lake.
