Nice half-an-hour trip if you are in Kamnik. In the old city center, near municipality and near the local government office. Also some nice history/folk story behind it. Visiting at night can give you a couple of shivers though, because some say a princess Veronika Deseniska was tortured/killed there...

The village of Tunjice is an idyllic village lying on the Slovenian Alps' foothills, close to the town of Kamnik. Millions of years ago the sea has been spread over now so wonderful woodland. Thus, the province is famous for its fossils, sanded marls and high-grade limestone formed in far Miocene. The Natural Healing Resort is placed on the Northeast side of Kamnik city in a large dense forest nearby the picturesque baroque church of St. Ana. Within a range of 10.000 square meters of slowly inclining piece of land is a spa with healing water and several energy Springs, marked with circles and ideograms of different shapes.

Metropolis Spa is undoubtedly the first Slovenian beauty centre where all the five senses are being stimulated, whereas our experienced and well-trained staff attends to the sixth sense. In addition, we are the first in Slovenia to use the method of chromatherapy, a therapy focused on scents in combination with a sophisticated music background system.

The Budnar’s house is a unique living museum depicting the lives of our ancestors. The renovated house, which was declared a historic monument, is owned by the municipality of Kamnik, and was named after its last owner, Cveto Budnar. The small partly stone partly wooden house leans against the hillside so that the gank (porch) with its southern side is always in the Sunshine. The house represents a stretched home of a middle peasant in those days. At first, the house had only two rooms; a room called »hiša« (house) and a doorway with a smoke kitchen, later a small room called kamra was added, so that the living quarters and the farm are under the same roof. Today the house is a living museum which preserves a more than one hundred year old tradition of old farm houses and the simple peasant life.
