Solkan (pronounced [ˈsoːu̯kan] or [sɔu̯ˈkan]; Italian: Salcano, German: Sollingen or Salcano) is a settlement in the City Municipality of Nova Gorica in the Gorizia region of western Slovenia, at the border with Italy. Although it forms a single urban area with the city of Nova Gorica today, it has maintained the status of a separate urban settlement due to its history and the strong local identity of its residents.

Our company Palsit d.o.o. attended team building in Soča Fun Park few weeks ago.
We spent a wonderful afternoon in adrenaline park near Soča river. We were able to test our psychophysical abilities high above the ground and socialising with eachother outside the office. The zip line was the final touch. :) Special thanks to excellent guides who encouraged us to acheive the goal :) Definitely reccomend it!

We visited this church and monastery with a friend who lived in the area. Amazing views of the surrounding countryside from the top of the mountain. But the church itself and it's story are the star attractions. Inside the church is a small area to the left of the altar where people have left their written devotions to the Lady of Sveta Gora (Mary), from whom they associate cures of various ailments. The church itself is grand and beautiful.

If you are around this region, you have to see it! A bit difficult with public transportation. But it is an easy walk from Solkan. There are a few view points around the bridge. I liked the most the ones from the road, which climbes to Trnovska planota - you should take a ride there... There are more attractive Bridges on this railway.

Monte pieno di storia visto che è passata di qua la prima guerra mondiale. Passeggiata non difficilissima ma allevata da una vista super.
One, two, three, go! Each generation calls certain toys and games "its own", which the previous or next generation is not familiar with. Do you still remember your favourite toy?
