We went on an early December evening before the holiday crowds arrived. The service was friendly, fast and efficient and the food was much better than the average bistro food often served in pubs or clubs. We decided to go because we heard that the Tallwood (Mollymook) chef had taken over the management of the kitchen...(love Tallwood). Of course, it's not fine dining here like Tallwood and the food is a lot more basic - but tasty and more imaginative than your average hotel. It's a shame that the large deck was taken over by a very loud/drunk and rowdy drinking crowd - we thought that by going early we may have been able to have at least a drink on that deck but it was impossible to hear each other speak so we moved back inside. Not sure if the bistro management can do much about that as the bar and bistro might be 2 separate arrangements? We look forward to going back in winter when they have the old fireplace going - might give the indoor space a lot more ambiance...something lacking a bit at the moment.

Om Sweet Om Milton opened its doors in June last year and has been opening the minds of those who walk up its stairs ever since. It’s a home away from home where everyone is welcomed and accepted, no fancy mats or active wear required. It’s about getting back to the roots of what yoga is: the union of breath, mind and body. It’s an intimate space that prides itself on small classes, yogic philosophy, traditional practice and one-on-one assists and support. It’s a space where yoga becomes approachable and the focus shifts from the exterior to the work done within. Om Sweet Om Milton offers a variety of practice styles and class times, from the traditional roots of yoga; Ashtanga to a modern day Vinyasa Flow. It offers balance with the Yin Practice and Candle Light Series, taking time to slow things down in our fast paced world, a beginner six-week programs runs covering yoga foundations, alignment, breath and movement in a non-intimidating environment. Om Sweet Om even offers some Zen for the Men, or as we like to call it Bro-ga.
I've done a couple of classes at Om Sweet Om and can honestly say, as a yoga teacher myself, Chantal is an extraordinary teacher.
The classes are put together well, the studio is very clean and inviting. I look forward to practising more with Chantal and her crew.

Join Charlotte, the mistress of the Star Hotel of the 1860s to 1870s on a lantern-lit walking tour to experience historic Milton, as she tells you about the ghosts and eerie tales of historic Milton. Charlotte will meet you at the Milton Cultural Centre, Princes Highway opposite the Post Office. She will answer your many questions - was arson the cause of the 1879 Star Hotel fire? Where do the ghosts live at Milton? And many more... Bookings are essential.
Had the chance to do this tour and was NOT disappointed ! Charlotte was the perfect host and very well preserved for her age ! ;
