I would highly recommend this as a great day out around Bergerac. Alex is very accomodating and will pick up and drop off from your gite. We were outside his normal pick up area however he happily picked us up for a small additional fee.
Our day involved a visit to a local vineyard, fresh lunch provided by his friends Vince and Karen, visit to a local artisan chocolate producer and finally a visit to a local co op.
The lunch was delicious and there was plenty of wine and chocolate tasting involved.
The hosts are very knowledgeable so if you want to learn a bit (or a bit more) about wine production, this is the tour for you.
Many thanks for a great day!

A wide range of medieval-oriented games for both children and adults to test their skills (including crossbows and archery -- both toned down for children to use), an interesting fortified chateau furnished with historic artifacts and furniture, with a particularly interesting kitchen gallery and dungeon, and an area for picnics -- all make for a good half-day activity. Most of the games have explanations attached to show you how to play and the skills they were meant to develop in medieval life as well as warfare. Lots of free parking. My only quibble is that some of the outdoor games are in poor shape and could do with some restoration in order to make them more playable.
We did not visit the labyrinth, but that could turn this into a (more expensive) all-day visit.

It's over run with English but is a nice place to walk around and the night market is on Tuesdays and well worth a visit the mouse and chips are very good but there is quite a choice of other food. Thursday is the morning market which is also good.

What a great little place to visit ' the bar staff are very friendly and the place has a great atmosphere. We sat outside for an hour taking in the views. We are looking at moving over and this could become one of our favourite places

Riding an electric bike allows you to ride for longer than you might do usually or on terrain that you wouldn’t normally tackle and the sensation is unlike anything else so why not think of renting one to give it a whirl?

The bikes are great fun and allow you to see much more of the countryside with the electric power. Good value for money. The staff are really helpful and very friendly. Superb service.... would highly recommend.
