Many years ago, I fished at Cochrane Air's outposts and Kesagami Wilderness Lodge - both out of the Cochrane Air airbase on Lillabelle Lake. This year I asked them to put us into a small, shallow lake with great walleye fishing (and some pike). Several lake choices were considered but we ended up at a small outpost on what is primarily a site used for moose hunting. However, the fishing was great !
The small outpost slept four, but because there were only two of us, we had more than enough room. It was basic, of course, with bunks, propane appliances - fridge/freezer, countertop 3-burner "stove" (no oven), lights, and the iconic outhouse / WC. All very functional.
The walleye fishing produced plenty of fish in the 18 - 22" range, but "eaters" smaller than that were few in number. Not a bad problem ! While many small pike were caught while fishing walleyes, 34" and 40" northerns were caught.
A family of otters used the lake and weren't shy about being nearby and, as one might expect, loons and beaver were commonly seen & heard on the lake.
The dock staff & pilot were professional, friendly & efficient - loading & unloading the plane, checking the camp equipment, boats, motors, weight allowances, ...
We'll be fishing with Cochrane Air again.

I have played one round at Lee Golf Club for each of the past five years. The course is basically a 9-hole course which plays to some 5520 yards for 18 holes, with three par 3's resulting in a nominal par 70. Three or four holes have two separate tees to give distinctly different looks for the back nine. As one example, the 9th hole is a relatively straight-forward 316-yard par four. But when the alternative tee is used for the 18th hole then you are playing a dog-leg left, requiring a 150-yard tee shot through a very narrow tunnel of trees... and the trees on the left are out-of-bounds.
The course is relatively mature. Fairways are well maintained and most of them relatively wide... but enough of them have unforgiving high rough and/or out-of-bounds to provide a challenge. Two of the holes require blind shots to the greens. Greens are relatively fast and true. Bunkers are not well drained, so normal sand-trap techniques are often not effective/possible.
Not CGA rated for par or slope.
The clubhouse is fully LLBO licensed. Breakfast sandwiches, hamburgers and other simple fare available.
No tee time booking. You place a ball in a receptacle on the first tee to obtain a position, but the course is often not crowded. Good idea to call ahead to find out if the course is booked/reserved for an event.
Non-locals and non-members are welcomed.
In spite of the bunkers and the comparatively short total yardage, for an average bogey golfer this course nevertheless rates a very solid “Good”. An enjoyable experience when the weather cooperates.
