It's a great place if you go with those that would also love to climb the mountain. Have cash ready for entrance because they don't have swipe. The artist that sell sculpture there are very friendly.

After driving some terribly-maintained park roads to get to the trailhead, we were told that we needed a guide, and that people disappear all the time on the mountain. After assuring the park office that we would not be driving back 45 minutes on awful roads to get a guide, we went out on an unauthorized hike up to the Waterfalls. It was really windy and cold, but quite beautiful. Front that vantage, we saw a bus approaching, so we descended and found out that the bus group had a guide. So we asked to join that group, the guide agreed, and up we went. Ninety minutes to the top - and that was us following a group of 20 inexperienced hikers. We hiked down on our own in 45 minutes. It's a rocky trail, so injuries and falls could definitely happen. Disappearing off the mountain is not possible. The trail is too well-marked and there are no side-trails.

Mtarazi Falls are one of the steepest falls in Africa. Water falls from a very tall mountain through a very steep scarp into a very deep valley called Honde Valley in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe. It is scenic and per-adventurous to view the water falling looking like a thin veil falling in a style. The Falls are in rural are which was maintained in its naturalness. Although it attracts so many tourists, the roads are feudal, winding with steep ascends and descends. I enjoyed this academic trip.

One of the finest fly-fishing rivers in Africa and great picnic outing is a fantastic community run conservation area (campfire). An interesting 17 km down church Road brings you to the river, which is stunning. It is made all the better by the friendly locals who take pride in their area.
Pack your picnic and swimming trunks and set out for an amazing day, made all the better by the knowledge that you are contributing to community Conservation and the great Campfire Programme.

A breath taking natural waterfall curved across the Inyangombe River. It is Zimbabwe's highest waterfall hidden by mother nature's beautifully interlocking Eastern Highlands offering you an opportunity to take close up photos. A perennial waterfall surrounded by the best natural views of untouched flora. A must see for nature lovers!
