We took a staff trip to visit Zhaohushan in the Springtime. After experiencing a couple of other national parks that were full of litter, hawkers, and tourists, I was not expecting much. I was in for a very pleasant surprise.
The mountain and Reservoir were pristine. I did not see a scrap of litter during my entire visit that day. We hiked up the mountain a ways, then stopped for a rest. We heard the wind blowing through the trees, birds singing, and no people. If you are looking for a quiet retreat from the grey, urban life of China, this is a great place to go!
Tip 1: just spend your time enjoying the mountain and hiking trails. There are a few temples around the mountain, but they were all (obviously) built recently to impress tourists.
Tip 2: there is a restaurant on site, but I would recommend just packing your own food.

겨울엔 사람이 없어요. 너무썰렁합니다. 이 주변이 모두다 텅빈 도시같아요. 여름엔 사람이 오는지 궁금함.
