Constructed in stages dating back to the 13th century the church has 'survived' several fires, more laterly 2008, and the most recent addition is the 75m tower providing views over the city and making it the tallest stone tower church in Transylvania. The church houses a collection of flags from the town's former guilds and a beautiful 500 year old organ. Well worth a visit, irrespective of religion, and of course a trip up the tower provides for amazing views over all the city from the outside balcony. Watch out for the time whilst you are there and cover your ears as the moment approaches for the bells to chime - it is somewhat load!

We are a team of experienced riders,Spanish and Romanian, with more than ten years of bike riding, with great knowledge of the places you are about to visit. Our trips are made in some remote areas in the north side of Transylvania, at the connection with Bucovina and Maramures, two historical regions of Romania. We offer mtbiking, cycling, cultural, photography and nature private tours.
Its been such a great trip. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed a lot the experience, not only for the routes and places where we stayed, but for our guide Calin, who was a great person and always willing to help.

We called in simply to obtain general information on the city and came out rather impressed. The young lady who greeted us was so enthusiastic and full of information that we couldn't wait to explore. To aid her presentation a three dimensional model of the city is located on the central table and, with the aid of a laser pointer, she described the areas of the city and must visit locations. The brochures, booklets and a map were available in several languages, including English, which enabled us to make the most of our day. As a Tourist Information Office, presentation and literature available, I would rate it the best I have visited anywhere.
