Went on a 1.5 day charter with some family. Caught lots of beautiful walleye. I thought I knew something about fishing but Captain Dave taught me a lot more! Very helpful and friendly. Very accommodating for the family (young and old). I'm booking again in the Spring. Highly recommend this charter to any fishermen!

Bleasdell Boulder Conservation Area

Reviewed By Kiera B - Quinte West, Canada

The Bleasdell Boulder Conservation Area is a great place to go for a walk or hike, especially early in the morning. There's a massive boulder with information on it and how it got there. There is a small bridge over water which is great for photographs. It's a free location to visit but is slightly confusing to get to if you are driving as it's slightly secluded and somewhat hidden, you will be able to find it easily as long as you pay close attention to the signs leading to the boulder.

After spending over 40 years boating in the Kawarthas I was encouraged to drive to Trent Port Marina for their "tour".
Wow. Trent Port is a very clean marina within easy walking distance of a "Metro" food store, Shoppers Drug Mart and several great restaurants ... free high speed internet at every slip, free laundry containing 3 washers and 3 driers and free soap "pods", a good sized Boaters Lounge with a fireplace and big screen LED TV, 11 large clean shower rooms, lots of outdoor tables and chairs, nice wide docks and wide slips, terrific lighting ... and a very friendly staff ... are all just a few of the reasons I was over-impressed with the marina.
I moved my boat down to Trent Port 2 weeks later ... stayed as a transient for 5 days and booked a slip for myself and another boater that wanted to move there based on my comments and photos that I sent him. I am very much looking forward to turning to port when exiting the marina and heading up the Trent ... or turning to starboard and exploring the Bay of Quinte. I'm also looking forward to the free live entertainment and weekend fireworks within easy sight of the marina weekends!

Centennial Park

Reviewed By Connie H - Kingston, Canada

We stopped at the area beside the tourist info centre for a picnic lunch. The grounds were strewn with trash and tons of cigarette butts everywhere, but in particular at the picnic tables. Not a pleasant sight or appetizing.
The tourist info staff were friendly, they have a washroom open til 7pm. There are loads of brochures on events in the area, that may not be on this site.
We had our lunch overlooking the river with a pleasant breeze.
Maybe the park further in town near the gazebo is cleaner.

Bayside Antiques & Collectables

Reviewed By mlbdab

I stopped here on the way to check out Prince Edward County the airplane museum and bay of quinte. neatest antique shop I've ever been in. The outside isn't much to look at but isn't that always the way with these off the beaten path shops?
At first I thought it was a bike shop because there are about 50 bikes out front but I was pleasantly surprised to find loads of vintage and antique items inside. The store is huge inside and seems to never end. I could have spent many hours rooting around in there.
I got several antique license plates, a barn wood coat hook, an Inuit soap carving, and added to my vintage Pyrex collection. My kids found some books, die cast and a bunch of other things.
The worker or the owner was in the back most of the time we were there working on some beautiful barn doors that he makes out of 100 year old barn wood. If we had a way to get them home we would have had him build us one.
I highly recommend adding this stop to your route, you won't be disappointed. Oh and everything is priced AMAZING! Really cheap, huge score!
