Combined our visit to the waterfall with the other tourist attractions along the way- Pyengana Dairy Farm and Pub in the Paddock. About 15 minutes along well maintained path to reach the waterfall with beautiful ferns and trees to admire along the way. After recent rain the waterfall was flowing fast and making a great show. The highlight of our trip to St Helens.

Come aboard 'Infurneaux' a state of the art, Eco tourism vessel. Head out from Binalong Bay and experience the Bay of Fires at it’s finest, the pristine white sandy Beaches, lichen covered boulders, hidden bays and striking headlands of this breathtakingly beautiful coastline. The Bay of Fires stretches for nearly 30kms and there is no better way to soak up this amazing scenery than from the water. With three different tours on offer covering all or part of the Bay of Fires, our fully guided tours offer not only magnificent scenery, but the chance to encounter an abundance of sea life.
We hoped for the 3 hour cruise but wind speed prevented going all the way to lighthouse. In fact I was happy with just the 1 1/2 hour which ended up 2hours. Very well managed, excellent commentary & navigation. Saw sea eagles & dolphins. Well done Alisha & David.

We sell good quality Antiques, Vintage Jewelery, Collector's Books, Crystal, Original Artworks, Ceramics, Glassware, Cutlery, and Tassie made Souvenirs. We love Antiques and we like to think we do it well!
This place is quite a treasure trove, if you like old books and antiques. We didn't buy anything, but were passing through so stopped in for a little look. Things here are fairly expensive, but if you like curios and antiques, it's worth a sticky beak. We loved the flying duck orchid they had in a vase on the counter - very pretty. A classy outfit all round, and quite a big inventory, especially books.

We rang on the morning of the massage day and asked to book in four massages. Yes! Michelle could oblige! Such short notice and the four massages covered almost six hours. No rush at all. Each was totally individual to meet our needs. She was very professional and all of us really enjoyed our experience. A lovely addition to the birthday celebration weekend.

Wow - I cannot believe it- after travelling all around Tasmania, I have found a helpful and friendly visitors centre. The ladies here we're so helpful with providing us with excellent information and even offered ideas for things to do with the kids. They also had an excellent history museum on site as well as the Chinese tin dragon exhibition. Comprehensive map selection and gift shop had quality items. Great stop over and well thought out place. Please drop by here if you are in the area!

Come and discover a heritage Couta Boat cruise on beautiful Georges Bay. We offer you half, one hour or two hour cruises where you can sit back and enjoy the journey aboard "Lone Dove" a 1923 Heritage Couta Boat. Take in a spot of bay fishing if you wish. The sightseeing cruise includes handling/driving of the boat and we'll clean and pack your catch for you to take home.
While on a beach holiday at Beaumaris on the north east coast of Tasmania we came across Les Sims and his beautiful Couta boat fishing cruises. We had three teenagers that were hard to impress and more interested in their phones than looking at the scenery. We took a gamble and booked 2 hours with Les to go trolling around the waterways off St Helens with the children dragging their feet.
By the end of it we had caught one of every fish in the bay, been entertained by Les' takes of the sea and his Hollywood movie roles with the boat, and went home with enlivened children looking forward to cooking the fish they had caught for dinner!
Thanks Les!
PS And check out Les' maritime museum in St Helens.

Was wondering what a par-3 golf course at the end of a small road would look like. What a surprise! It's beside their cherry & plum orchard. So quaint, peaceful, friendly & inviting! My host talked me into tasting his fabulous Plum Tart with my coffee - again, MKR eat your hearts out! Loved everything about this place.
No need to play golf though .... hehe, that'd just be a good ride wasted ....

Located in the small settlement of Priory, close to the tourist destinations of Binalong Bay and the Bay of Fires and just 3kms from the town of St Helens one of Tasmania’s premium holiday destinations on the sunny East Coast. Priory Ridge is a boutique vineyard on 20 hectares with ideal north facing slopes which maximise sunlight.
Priory Ridge is the northernmost cellar door on the East coast wine trail, just out of St Helens off the Scottsdale road. It has a lovely old farm shed converted to a cellar door, with displays of historical artifacts and family historical photographs. The family were very welcoming, and told us a lot about the wines. We tried a red and a white, both excellent quality.

The fishing in St Helens was a treat, with a wide variety of fish species able to be landed. Michael puts you in the right place to catch fish using both bait and lures.
However Michael can be rather obnoxious he has a "know it all attitude" which can be extremely grating. Don't expect too much for morning or afternoon tea as advertise, you will only get a cup of coffee while the skipper munches away on biscuit and sandwiches. It would hurt to throw in a couple of Tim Tams.
