For the best sunset views in the area, head to this beautiful old fort at Vagator Beach.
If ur a Dil Chahta Hai fan, this fort is a must visit!!! U have to sit on d walls n click pics and relive those amazing moments from d movie that made Goa cool for us. Since we were staying in Vagator, this fort was a ten minute journey for us. It's crowded, but it's so huge that ull find a wall for yourself . Parking is 20bucks for 2wheeler. D climb from parking to d fort is very steep and slippery. I slipped at least twice. Pls wear comfortable shoes. The sunset view from d top is amazing!!! U can just find a spot for urself n sit there for hours gazing at d waves and d melting sky. If ur thirsty, u get lime soda right inside d fort.

This beach is less crowded. There are not many shacks and hawkers. There are no water sports. If you are looking for a calm and tranquil atmosphere, this beach is one of the best in north Goa.
This beach is best for people travelling solo or looking for a calm and peaceful environment.
Parking is free. Beach-beds are available for Rs.200. The shacks, as usual, are over-priced.
Of all the Beaches in North Goa, my top two picks are Ashwem and Morjim Beaches.

This Beach is beautiful but it's far in North
Very Less Crowded
No Water Sports
Few choice of Beach Shack
Parking near to Beach not available
No Hotels and Restaurants closed by the beach
Note: Avoid getting massage on the beach and if you are not interested in having food and drinks on the beach then go for paid beds which they charge around INR 200 per couple for 2~3 hours. You can bargain also.

The Surf Wala surf school was established on Arambol Beach, North Goa, in 2010 with a simple desire in mind; to share our passion for Surfing with anyone, locals and visitors alike, who might wish to join the growing community of surfers here. Our little tribe of board riders has steadily increased as news has spread that it is, in fact, possible to surf in Goa. Surf Wala exists in order to continue to encourage that message, to provide surf board hire, surf lessons, equipment and advice to anyone who feels enticed to begin Surfing in Goa, and most of all to provide a base for these people to come together. We believe that the special union a person develops with the ocean when they surf lays the foundation for a holistic manner of living which encourages physical and spiritual well-being, increased environmental and social awareness, as well as a pure primal joy in feeling the rush of riding a wave. It is this experience which draws us back day after day. “To learn patience, to feel awe, and to know exhilaration in the element of which we are all largely composed is a repeatedly enthralling experience we think everybody should have the opportunity to try.”

Siolim cooking school was born out of a passion for tropical flavors and foreign cuisines. It offers a fascinating insight into Goan life, faiths and culture through learning about its food, cooking and culinary myths.Participants learn about the exotic spices and blends used in every day Goan dishes, and actively prepare the generous feast that will then be enjoyed together.Class teachings and discussions are relaxed and friendly and held in the elegant ground of the boutique hotel Little Siolim. Discussions include specific references to the role of food in Goan society and its ceremonial use and religious importance.
My husband and I really enjoyed this cooking experience. We were lucky as there was only the two of us in the class. We learnt lots of tricks and came away with fabulous recipes to try at home. The lady and her daughter were so friendly with lots of stories about Goan lifestyle and as a teacher they filled me in about local schools too. We helped in the preparation and cooking and the end result was yummy! It is not a big kitchen restaurant with fancy appliances but rather well suited to its surroundings of a more traditional experience. Thank you and would recommend it to others! Ps. Go with an empty tummy as the amount of food made is huge!

Well organised with separate space allocated to shops selling spices ( very famous) bakery products, nuts, dresses and ready made garments, alcoholic beverages, vegetables and fruits, fish and poultry etc.
There are two or three restaurants famous for snacks and tea.
The place will be swarming with activity from 10 am in the morning till late a night.
You can find lots of useful items ...
Allot half a day for this market..
