On the south side of Jeju Island, Seogwipo offers swanky hotels, rugged cliffs, popular beaches and gorgeous waterfalls. The volcanic-rock cliffs located around Jungmun beach are a wonder. Make sure to visit the viewing platform to take in the spectacular vistas. A coastal city, Seogwipo's many activities revolve around the ocean, including diving and submarine tours. Many of the restaurants specialize in fresh, local seafood. There's also much to see and do inland, including temples, art museums, amusement parks and botanical gardens.

This is one of the new world wonders and indeed it's a beautiful mountain with flights of stairs to climb. It's a good exercise as the weather was nice and breezy. The bird eye view was great but the peak, to me, was a bit disappointing.

I was hesitating to climb the mountain in the winter, but it is definitely a must do! It was so amazing with the snow. The path itself was 'easy' to walk and to follow. Tip: buy crampons at the start of the trail (12,000 krw (I think) for the cheap ones).

This place is an epitome of beauty, beautiful rock formation, beautiful sea, beautiful waves, beautiful clouds, it is amazingly beautiful. Here you enjoy both worlds of rock formation and beautiful sea. Definitely this place is super windy and you might get wet with huge waves hitting against the rock formation. The scenery of the place couple with the beautiful sound of waves for me makes any visit to Jeju complete. Be careful in walking and exploring place, there are areas that are slippery and rough. If you are an instagram addict this place is the best for you. You can choose to have those lovely rock formation as background or the beautiful blue sea with the huge waves and or both the lovely rock formation and waves.

We spent a very nice day at the beach. Nice white sand, warm water. There is a place to rent lifejackets and floating articles. Not too much people in september. A lot of pkaces to eat/have a drink nearby.

The cliffs are interesting to see, but the site is very touristy. It can become incredibly busy even in the winter season. It’s 2000₩ pax to get in and you have to pay for parking depending on vehicle size ( you pay when you leave the site). It’s not really all that much money and keeps the site clean. This is a quick stop on Jeju probably 20-30 mins and worth it, but if you have seen Giants Causeway ( Ireland ) or similar rock formations in Iceland or NZ I would skip it.

This place will be good for nature lovers and those who are in Jeju to relax and get away from busy city life. It only takes 1hour to cover the area at a slow pace. You may get a chance to see autumn foliage here from mid to late Nov as there are quite a number of maple trees in the forest. (Note: Autumn is mild in Jeju, while northern parts of Korea are having colourful autumn foliage, we hardly see any colourful trees in Jeju till we came to Bijarim forest)

Nothing spectacular in terms of size other than the water is running into the ocean. It was a nice walk to get there and the view is nice from the rocks along the sea. Ladies selling fresh seafood on the rocks.

It's a tourist packed beach in the summer time. It's quite expansive so you can go to your own spot thats semi private. Recommend you to travel outside the vacation period unless you love swarms of families with children.

Our last destination for our first day in Jeju is this temple. Before arriving to the worship place, near the parking area you will find vendors selling various souvenir items. Upon entrance, we walk through the garden where we saw trees with oranges (mandarin in their place). It was last week of March when we visited this place we were lucky to see trees beautiful big oranges. Continuing the path we pass big rocks display with signage written in Korean which I don't understand. We then continue to walk farther and took the stairs until we reached the temple. Just like other places for workship you are not allowed to bring your shoes inside the place. Near the temple is a Fountain, they say if you drink water in the Fountain it will bring good health and good luck to the person.

Jeolmul Natural Forest is a must-see in Jeju Island. I really love the lush greenery in the forest park. There are many trails, each with different length and level of difficulty. We only had slightly less than 2 hours in the park. Therefore we only managed to walk the Samwool-gil trail followed by climbing the Oreum Trail (many steps, may get slippery if it rain) and explore the relaxing garden/ pond area. If I come again, I will allocate at least half a day in this beautiful forest. The entrance fee in only KRW1000, and there was a small stall at the entrance whereby you can grab a coffee or buy something to eat. Do not miss it if you are in Jeju Island.
