Incredibly, there has been suggestions of awarding this place a UNESCO status. I can't possibly see how; the whole village is a wreck, the walls are covered with graffiti, everything is falling apart. There are mongrel dogs all over the place, and the streets are covered with dog poo. You can sense the village's historical past, but that has been overwhelmed by neglect and abuse. It took us more than 2 h to get there, and we couldn't wait to get out. What a waste of time.

This is a very nice park in Sao Caetano do Sul, however the city hall has not been looking after enough of this beauty. The Playgrounds are kind of danger - my son had a finger enjury once. Now, I go to other parks, in São Bernardo do Campo

Neat science center w/ a huge Earth made of recyclables just outside (see pic). Inside there are 2 levels of hands on science experiments, penguins, large fish tank, little stingrays to pet, moving t-rex, earthquake/thunderstorm simulator (I would not bring a small kid into this one), and more.
This center does not have a restaurant but it does have a large cafeteria so you can bring and eat a snack there. The center's main audience is schools on field trips, so call to see when they are open to the general public - it was weekends and holidays last time I checked. The entrance fee is R$10 (~$5) and there's parking. Guides for the experiments seem to be local college students and many of them speak English.

We were actually looking for a place to shop for souvenirs, when we stumbled onto this quaint little Cathedral setting in the square.

Great park ! Nice to walk or to bring the kids to play and spend some energy. There's a big aquarium and a good for people who likes jogging. There's also a open gym. Coffee shop is good with some good options if you're thirst or hungry.
