As my home province is in Nong Khaem, i visited Don Wai Floating Market whenever i am back in Thailand.
This market have everything that you need to buy.
From Spices to Vegetables, from Pork to Beef and Fruits.
It is almost to the home of the famous braised ducks where almost everyone that visits this market buys.
It also have a river boat ride that bring people on a scenic ride with a peaceful view while feeding the carps.
A market not to be missed if you want to feel the life of local thais

This fabulous collection of vintage cars, motorcycles, bikes, cyclos, toy pedal cars, trucks, and more (even an authentic Philippine jeepney, a helicopter, plane and a couple of trains!) is a great find for enthusiasts of old transport vehicles. Lots of older vehicles (75 years old or more) and some newer collectibles, including a gull-wing-doored DeLorean DMC-12.
Owner has hundreds of vehicles in his collection and shares it generously with visitors, with no admission fee (even providing ice cold water for free!). Wander as long as you want and enjoy vehicles rarely seen. The collection concentrates on European vehicles, but also has a few gems from the U.S.
The museum is out in the countryside and requires a relaxing drive through the countryside of Nakhon Pathom Province. The location on Google Maps is perfect though, and takes you right to the museum.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, although I wished that the museum could include more signs describing the vehicles (model, year, origin, etc.). Anyone with even a passing interest in cars and transportation will enjoy a visit!

Phutthamonthon park is over 50 years old and is spread over 2500 Rai.
It has one of the tallest standing Buddha statue.
Another marble stone building just few meters away is the big marble viharn that has the entire Buddhist canon
engraved in 1418 marble steles.
Phutthamonthon park is about 45 minutes drive from Bangkok in Greater Bangkok area called in Phutthamonthon district in Nakhon Pathom
Its a lovely park, full of trees, manicured Gardens, nice walkways and several ponds that have many fish and tortoises.
It has several food stalls inside the park and easy to drive around within the park or just walk.
I saw many thai couples and families with kids feeding bread to fishes or just sitting on grass, relaxing or playing with kids.
Entry and parking is free.
Its very calm, beautiful and a perfect place to spend half a day of picnic with family and friends.
I made me feel very nice being here.

This temple is situated in Nakhon Pathom province which not far from Bangkok. It's a very big time complex, you can spend even a day here. There is a fish pond where you can feed " Koi & Gold Fish" with a feeder... amazing experience... you just have to make a donation in the box and you can take fish feeds.. This activity is very popular among children as well as old..getting there is quiet a challenging, as there are quiet a few buses from Bangkok goes there. If you have a local friend there no problem...

One of those places that has a dual-pricing system, with foreigners paying 4x as much as locals. We received a discount because we live in Thailand.
We weren't familiar with most of the people presented in wax (monks, royals and Thai artists), which left us with displays of local Thai life and a handful of world-famous people. The statues were set in nice scenery and very life-like.
There's a little lake outside with pedal-boats, Seating under the trees, market stalls, and some food and souvenir shops. It was quiet, but according to the staff it gets very busy at weekends.

Sampran Riverside (formerly Rose Garden Riverside) is a family-run property just 30km west of Bangkok. Back in 1962, the business started as a supplier of roses to the Bangkok flower markets. Since then, it has grown gradually to a 70-acre riverside property where visitors can experience authentic Thai way of life and learn about our local wisdom. Sampran Riverside is more like a community than a 'typical' resort. Our facilities in the property include a 4-star riverside hotel with 160 rooms, 6 antique Thai houses around a serene lake, Arusaya Spa, restaurants, meeting rooms, Thai Village, Weekend Farmers' Market and a certified Organic Farm. Things to do for a day trip or an overnight trip Thai Village Activities: 'Living the Thai Culture' Arts and Crafts workshops (Daily from 10.00 to 12.00 and 13:00 to 15:30) Discover aspects of Thai lifestyle at the Thai Village. Pavilion stations include Thai music & dance, garland making, fruit carving, traditional pottery, Thai martial arts, silk processing, traditional weaving, umbrella painting, Thai kitchen, Thai herbal pavilion and rice farming. Additional activities (advance booking required): Alms giving, Traditional Thai cooking class, Herbal product workshop, Spa, River Cruise, Bicycle and pedal boat rental, and Elephant riding.
On an excursion to Damnoen Saduak, stopped by Sampran Elephant Camp followed by this place, usually called Rose Garden, but the roses are all but gone. By 3pm, the show is winding down. Dance is ok, but same as Siam Niramit. Good musicians. Muay Thaii boxing obviously fake. Before 4 pm, the exhibitors/demonstrators are gone, leaving the props to your imagination. Dusty items on the stores. Food vendors want to close early. Not worth a trip from Bangkok. Maybe just a stop if you're in the area and get there way before 3 pm

Woodland Muangmai is an absolutely mind-blowing place. Anyone who appreciates nature, trees and wood MUST visit here. We heard about the place and stopped by for a visit one weekend, with the intention of viewing the wood carving collection. We were somewhat discouraged though by the price (200 baht for Thais and 350 or 450 for foreigners... I didn't catch which). But, they said if we checked into their resort, we could see the collection for free. So, we booked an overnight in the resort for the following weekend.
The price for a large cottage at the resort (living room, bedroom, kitchenette) was only 1,500 baht including a simple porridge breakfast, although the advertised price was 2,500 baht. The room was clean, but very dated; could use some serious renovation and modernization.
Back to the wood collection and buildings: absolutely mind-boggling!! Huge logs for the building pillars; massive elephants and "woodmen" statues made from wood; etc. Inside the series of airconditioned buildings containing the collections are brilliantly carved animals, Apsaras, Buddhas, and various gods and goddesses. A highlight is a huge room containing massive carvings of the Christian "stations of the cross" set along the wall and a carved replica of the Pieta (the original carved in marble and on display in the Vatican). Reminiscent of Michaelangelo, all of the Christian carvings were completed by a dedicated carver over a 13-year period!
There is a separate exclusive collection of wood carvings in another building, for which an additional 100 baht if charged. Again, we hesitated, but the collection is well, well worth the modest fee. An English-speaking guide will show you around the incredible collection, with includes some of the most exquisite wood carvings imaginable.
The grounds of the place are also very pleasant, including a rock garden with huge stones. The grounds sit on the banks of the Tha Chin River. During the time of our stay, we enjoyed an added bonus in being there at the time of the year of nesting of a huge colony of Asian open-billed storks. Literally, thousands of the majestic birds now nest in trees across the river from Woodland Muangmai from November to February. We enjoyed hours of watching the fabulous birds, foraging for snails, tending their newly hatched young, repairing their nests, or just soaring on the thermals. Don't miss the fabulous show; bring your binoculars and telephoto lens!
Woodland Muangmai also has a great coffee shop! So, lots of options for staying overnight or just stop in for coffee and a tour of the great carvings.
The unique attractions and pleasures of this place are hard to overstate. Being only an hour or hour and a half from Bangkok makes the place very accessible. Don't miss it!
