We took the 2 day Australian war tour with Olivier and thought it was amazing. He is very knowledgeable not only about the war and its history but also generally about the regions we visited. We were picked up and dropped back to our accommodation in ST Quentin so it was all very easy. Our tour was focused on seeing all of the important Australian war memorials and battle fields. Olivier researched about my great uncle and modified the tour to show us exactly where my great uncle had fought(within 500m of where he would have been shot) and also took us to his grave. We found his tours very educational and very enjoyable and would definitely recommend Olivier if you are thinking of doing a WW1 tour of France or Belgium.

This is not to be missed when visiting St Quentin - a short bus ride from the town centre. All the traditional trades are superbly presented in a series of displays which authentically and atmospherically illustrate and evoke the daily life in France in the past - of its shops and businesses and transport - a wonderful and nostalgic record - together with the Motobécane bicycles and motorbikes which were manufactured in St Quentin.

We popped along en route to the basilica to fill an hour, the park is far better than we expected & very picturesque with leafy walks through the lakes and a few separate play areas scattered through the park appealing to all ages .. Very well kept play areas and lots of open space & benches.
There is a small farm area, with various small animals - all well looked after including wallabys, goats, emu's, Guinea pigs, donkeys etc..
The attraction is free with parking also free and outside the entrance - would certainly make the effort to re visit.

The interior of this Church is beautiful and interesting.I visited just prior to a service and was made very welcome by the congregation. The exterior does not prepare you for the lovely interior.

A lovely restored steam train which departs from the main station in St Quentin on a Sunday afternoon, just after 2pm. Runs an hour and a half through the countrside, waits for about 20 minutes and trundles back again. It was a lovely day when we went, the scenery was beautiful and it was a great afternoon. But it might be a bit long for very young children without some things to keep them occupied. And make sure you have cash as they don't take cards.

We entered the establishment, were not approached nor offered any assistance what so ever. When we approached the staff we felt we were an inconvenience. We noted that the few English written brochures were out of stock, and thus felt the resources available were poor.
