This temple complex is well worth the visit, if you are in the area. We have visited many, many temples throughout Thailand and can easily say that this is one of the most beautiful. It's size is great, yet everything is in proportion. There is a lot of detail everywhere you look. It is very pleasant to just sit in one place and take in all that is in front of you. Unfortunately, when we were there they were repairing the temple's dome. But, it was still very beautiful. There is also a small bus to take you from the parking area up to the temple and then return later. In the parking area there are place to purchase drinks, snacks and some souvenirs.

This temple complex is megaproject that is still uncompleted. The west side of the pagoda is beautiful flower garden, east side is the most picturesque for taking photo or selfie without using any application on mobilephone. This pagoda interior is still undercontruction too but it worths my visit, it's very far from city of Roi et.

Located inside the compound of Wat Buraphaphiram, Roi Et city center not far from Bung Phanlanchai (Phanlancai Lake). The main attraction inside this temple complex is the impressive tallest standing Buddha in Thailand Phra Puttha Rattanamongkhon Mahamuni or Luang Phor Yai by people of Roi Et. At 67m height including the base which you can see from afar at least the head till the shoulder. At the basement is the museum. Others attractions are the sleeping Buddha in a cave under the tree and some other statue. The local come to pay the merit hy the releasing of fishes, birds and tortoise after getting the blessing by the monk.

Very beautiful temple standing on the hillside overlooking Roi Et province. The site is very impressive with beautiful Gardens and 6 floors leading to the pinnacle attraction at the very top of many stairs. The temple is yet to be finished but the building is so big it could take years. The site has free transport to the car park where you can buy souvenirs and taste the local food in the selection of restaurants. If you would like a more physical challenge, the outer wall provides a healthy climb to the temple. I have visited many temples and I would rate this one as a must see :)

This wat contains a veritable treasury of art and archectural gems. Very serence with only a few people. I would have thought the temple would have been more crowded, but evidently it does not resonate with locals I could have set under a tree here for hours.

This museum displays story of the city in three main themes by three storeyed exhibition. It's only me as a visitor on sunday, the officers are very friendly and helpful. At the beginning , there is geographical display of Roi Et landscape and its underground treasures: potaz, kaolin , etc. at the other section, exhibition is about how come the city , main governors in the past, utensils, pictures from the past about the city. On the second floor, display continues about prehistoric era, Khmer influence on this land and highlight is the golden five-headed Naka amulet. The top floor is the story of silk, Boon Pa Vade story. I spent time here excitingly.
