All this set to a backdrop of a huge screen projecting live action in the park, visually stunning lighting and a massive wall of commissioned graffiti realism art work.
We've had birthday parties here, visited after school and attended when a stunt scooter crew were in attendance. Although some of the young staff can be distracted at times and not watch the children closely enough, as a parent we always make sure we know where they are are what they are doing.
The SNS evening was virtually empty so keep your eyes peeled for special events!

I went to the film club showing of the Disney film Moana on bank holiday Monday with my granddaughter aged 2. We both thoroughly enjoyed the film, the seats were comfortable and all for £1 each. It has got to be the best value cinema trip ever. I would thoroughly recommend this for a family trip out

An excellent little walk for about half an hour, quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife. The information signs are really useful especially for inquisitive teenagers. Just need to remember to turn into the local park and then follow the path down and follow the arrows around the site. Very good for passing time.

We are Kirbys Coaches an executive coach company that offers day and holiday coaching excursions, we have been running for over 60 years serving our wonderful customers.
We intrepid Kirby travellers set off to visit Waddesdon Manor. Our driver Nathan, valiantly proceeded with caution! Bread & Cheese Hill was a challenge! When we got to Tarpots he had a message to say Waddesdon was closed due to the weather! Nathan managed to drop everyone off at their required stop, & proceeded back to the Depot, avoiding B & C Hill, without incident. We left home at 7.15am & were back indoors at 11.30, safe & sound. You can always trust a Kirby driver!! We still want to go to Waddesdon, but will try a summer visit next time. Thank you Kirby Coaches.

Rayleigh town museum is a fabulous insight into the history of this Essex town largely through the eyes of ordinary people. The town is ancient and mentioned in the Domesday Book so there is much to learn. The exhibits when my wife and I visited included an old school report of a junior schoolgirl, old local newspapers, details of a suffragette offence, a postman's uniform and a wonderful old shop till. Also on show: a projector from the now closed cinema, a beautiful dolls house, old photographs, war medals awarded to local heroes and far too much else to mention. The building which houses the museum dates back to the 13th century and is itself worthy of a visit. An interesting video on the history of the town was on constant show and well worth sitting to watch. We stayed about an hour and a half though we could easily have been there twice as long. We will return when next in the area. Entry to the museum is free (though donations are welcome) and a warm welcome from volunteers is assured. This really is a must see if you are in south east Essex

My family and I finally made an appointment to see the Dutch Cottage after ten years of living in Rayleigh and passing it so frequently. The 'Cottage is an octagonal building on Crown Hill and is thought to date from the 18th century.
The tour (roughly 45 minutes to an hour - or less if you wish) was given by the current tenant (the building belongs to the District Council). a really lovely lady who know her stuff and could answer questions without any problems.
The first floor is accessed via more of a ladder than stairs and it won't suit everyone, especially children and the elderly. And if you're expecting you might want to give the upper floor a miss too. Even the accessing the kitchen is a squeeze.
For those who would like a tour inside the Dutch Cottage it is open by appointment with the owner on Wednesday afternoons. If you would like to book an appointment to view the Dutch Cottage you can contact Rochford District Council.

I have been having my beauty treatments at Deelights for some time now and have always been very satisfied. Dee is very friendly yet professional. Her salon though small is well set up and immaculately clean. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
