Perched at the Triple Frontier, where Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina meet, Puerto Iguazu is linked to Brazil by the Tancredo Neves bridge. It is home to the Museum of Images of the Jungle, the Mborore Museum, a bird rehabilitation center and the famed Iguazu National Park. The National Park is home to 275 waterfalls, including the world-renowned Iguazu Falls, which plunges 270 feet. A subtropical climate means it's warm in winter and hot in summer, with temperatures soaring up to 104°F.

This wonder of nature permits the observation of one of the most unique landscapes in the World; constituted by the upper Iguazu River and the Subtropical Forest, which frame the incredible Devil's Throat balcony. Three ring-shaped balconies permit a special view of the colossal “throat”, the culmination of the journey: a giant horseshoe-shaped waterfall 150 meters / 492 feet long, and 80 meters / 262 feet high. Here the water falls with such potency that it creates dense clouds of vapor as it pours into the river below. From here you can experience such wonderful sensations, offering you amazing and unforgettable moments:- Just listening to the roar of the Waterfalls - Feeling the vapor of waterfalls- Appreciating the rainbows that form amongst the clouds of water and rays of the sun - Admiring the contrasts of colors between the green forest and the blue sky, or the white color of the water foam and the red soil. - A separate spectacle is offered by the “vencejos” - birds unique to the Iguazu Falls that swoop down along the falls, as if they wanted to be confused with the curtains of water. This fabulous place is located 2080 m / 1 mile from the Devil's Station. You arrive by the Ecological Jungle Train, 5 km / 3miles from the Central Station. The Iguazu National Park Waterfalls Area has assorted activities. Along the upper and lower walkways you will be able to admire between 160 and 275 falls, the Devil's Throat being the most impressive one.
The Argentian side of the falls presents a totally different perspective than the Brazilian side. It's hard to pick one over the other. Both need to be seen to get a total picture of this expansive park with over 200 Waterfalls. Iquazu makes Niagra and Victoria Falls look like leaky faucets. I am so glad we added this to our trip to Patagonia. It was worth every penny.

This is spectacular. The park is beautiful and well laid out. It is definitely a two day visit, and if you present your original ticket you get the 2nd day discounted. I have never seen so many Butterfly's in my life, a rare treat for Canadians. The park is well laid out with good signage and helpful staff. It is easy to find snacks and water and there is a Bank machine at the entrance and an ATM near the mini train station.

It is a wide, rather flat and straight walkway through the forest which would have been boring if it were not for a small waterfall at the end of it. Swimming in it could have been a pleasant respite on a very hot day. However, as it happened, the path leading to the bottom of the waterfall where swimming is possible was closed off for repairs and a surly machete-wielding repairman cast a disapproving look at me as I tried to enter the fenced-off zone. All that remains is the top of the waterfall but the view is not that spectacular and certainly is not worth the time or effort.

This animal rescue centre is well worth a detour. They pride themselves on rehabilitating illegal pets and animals involved in road accidents or injured by illegal hunting. Those that are not rewildable and used for breeding, and their offspring re-wilded. They have a detailed intro video, a 10 minute tractor journey (I think the first time I've been driven anywhere by a tractor!) and and 60-90 minute walk through the reserve where the various animals reside. Beautiful toucans of various types, macaws, parrots, howler monkeys, anteaters, turkeys, vultures, ocelots, otters and the like were in attendance, all with various interesting stories of how they came to be there and their prospects of going into the wild again. We were lucky to be the only English speakers so benefitted from a almost-personalised tour with one of their senior staff.

This place is amazing! Well worth the trip to Argentina to experience such amazing and powerfull natural wonder. We took a speed boat tour. It was great, but also very cold! We should have been better prepared for that.

From other reviewers on tripadvisor, I had an impression there is no entrance fees, and that it is up to visitor if they want to give a donation. But when we got there, there is a big sign stating the entrance fees! The owner of the house charges 80 pesos per person. The garden is very very small, I think we spent less then 30mins there. You do get to see quite a few hummingbirds. That is about it. She could not speak a word of English.

We visited this community-based tourism project called Comunidad Mbya Guaraní Yryapú. It is of easy access by taxi or even by public transportation. Members of the community provide guided tours in the Yriapu Selva (duration of tour 1.5hrs) where travelers can share and learn about the Guarani customs and ways of living. They grow their own vegetables (corn, cassava, sweet potato) and fruits of the forest that the community uses to the present. This is a great opportunity for travelers to be in contact with a natural environment, to enjoy the wildlife as well as to learn about the community's history, traditions as well as the ancient language of daily use among its inhabitants whilst benefiting the local community.

Words cannot describe the magnificent falls in Iguazu. There are walkways in many directions, viewing areas out to the falls, picture opportunities galore. We could not have done this without a guide to lead us through the many parts of the falls, the trails and walkways, and we would have hated to miss a thing! This is a once-in-a -lifetime experience! Be prepared to get wet!

We were picked up at our hotel promptly at 7:30 a.m. to go on safari trip throughout the jungle-we were told we would see birds, animals and interesting vegetation. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the trees and plants we saw. At one point we got out of air-conditioned jeep-type vehicle and walked through the jungle for abut 10 minutes. We didn't see any birds or any animals
at that time or at any point during the 2 hour trip on an old logging road. Considering the fact that we paid $40 each for this trip, we suggest you skip it and just go to the falls!
