Absolutely fabulous place to visit. Our first one but it came highly recommended. Absolutely lovely place and the animals and birds so well looked after - you can tell the staff really live the creatures. Never seen such unusual monkeys- really stunning and very reactive to people. Owls beautiful. The meerkats funny and the talk really good. Great to be able to hold the cornsnake. Staff so friendly and willing to help and answer questions. Lovely setting and all the enclosures so beautiful.
They are really trying to save so many beautiful creatures and need support to do so. Do visit - 7 day return visits

An Elizabethan artillery fortress, a king's prison and a royal summer residence. Carisbrooke is a quintessential romantic castle. Here you'll find loveable donkeys, a fascinating museum and an Edwardian garden. Your can also experience hundreds of years of history with entertaining events in the summer.
The castle is within walkind distance of Newport. The remains are much larger than I was expecting. A good place to visit whatever the weather.

We visited this beach twice whilst on holiday. Once in the pouring rain so only us and a couple of other families out enjoying the water in wet suits and with body boards. The second time it was a glorious day so much busier but still plenty of room. This is a beach for family fun and enjoying the water so no tourist trappings just a basic toilet block and one icecream van - which also sells hot chocolate which was required after our first visit!

Quay Arts is the Isle of Wight's leading art gallery and venue for live arts events. Centre Opening times: Mon - Sun 9am - LATE
What a disappointment.! This restaurant used to be humming with people. Half empty when we arrived and about the same when we left. Lunch menu was unappetizing; nothing honestly inspired me, and my first choice was unavailable. Small portions, expensive, and staff need to smile. My first visit for a while, and probably my last. No atmosphere at all. Sad!

Visited during half term when they had a light festival. It was brilliant, the lights were superb with lots to do for the kids.

Newport Roman Villa is a fine example of a Romano-British farmhouse built in 280 AD. The Villa has a well preserved bath suite with hypocaust central heating. Illustrative text panels provide a clear explanation of the site and there are artefacts on display which chart the history of the Roman occupation. The villa has a free quiz sheet for younger visitors and there are hands-on activities for all!
Slightly out of the way but worth a detour. The villa sits between ordinary houses which gives it a very domestic feeling.
Nice explanations on the sign boards which add to the rather cosy effect. Pleasant small shop and an activity space if you have children.

A very spiritual building with some wonderful artefacts. They also serve up a very good cup of fairtrade coffee and homemade cake at very reasonable prices.

Went into this centre and asked them where the nearest toilet was. Unfortunately I was gold to go to a location with no longer exists! Surely the most basic requirement for an information centre is to let people know where they can find a toilet.
