Really enjoyed the steep walk up to this spectacular viewpoint. On the way up you get some nice glimpses down into the harbour from between the houses, some of them the original fishermen's homes but not many remaining now. There is a an area with tiled pictures set into the wall depicting various historical nautical scenes about half way up and then a well maintained cemetery with super views. At the very top is the little Capilla which is fairly plain inside and the lighthouse. The views along the coast, down to the beach and into the harbour are stunning and are what make this worthwhile.

The visit takes around 3 hours in total. It's a pretty eccentric place but with the heart in it's right place. It includes a guided, very interesting, tour of the collections: fossils, fish, giant calamari, whales...
and it also includes handling of snakes, salamanders and a toad!
We also had a very interesting talk at the Planetarium.
It's a self supported organisation so all the small sales at their shop, including second hand books, goes towards financing the project. We had a good time and the children enjoyed it.

It has steps and even levels, but the views on a clear day are really nice, and the place is good for a walk. Some famour local people are buried there.

Stunning views, great chiringuito, good for Surfing (there is a surf school nearby). Just be careful with the tide and the waves - it can be deceivingly dangerous - we were there at 5pm and the lifeguard was nowhere to be seen. I come from this area and know that people have drowned in this beach in the past. Still, great beach!

El faro es si no es una cosa del otro mundo, lo que realmente merece la pena son las vistas de toda la costa.

Do not miss these Gardens if you have even the slightest chance of visiting them – they are SPECTACULAR ! No expense has been spared in developing this beautiful site, and there are literally thousands of specimen plants to see, in a glorious hillside/seaside location. They are really, really beautiful. The excellent chap giving the guided tours only speaks Spanish, but even that doesn’t matter, really, if you don't: the quality of the planting and the maintenance speaks for itself. They offer guided tours only, which last about three hours, and which set off at eleven and four only, so check first, and get booked on over the phone. Payment is at the end of the tour, and is a very reasonable four Euros per head – which is great value for three hours of entertainment. The views back over Luarca harbour are worth four Euros on their own ! Really, really worth seeking out.

This fishing pet is bigger and write a lot prettier than Cudillero with more going for it. 2 Sandy bays in the town good for swimming, lis of little bars and coffee shops to while away the hours and a lovely small harbor to walk around. There's a road all around the headland to the second bay. It must be very busy in the summer months parking here as parking even on a wet afternoon in June there were not that many spaces left. Was worth a look shame it was such a horrible a day.

Clean and pretty beach - there are toilets available and a small cafe. Although the car park is quite big it can get really busy especially later in the day.
