Wanted to go paragliding here as highly recommended but couldn't speak to anyone to book it in advance so stayed in hostel la Cumbre and the very nice owner called up and booked it depending on weather. The guy arrived and drove us 20 mins to the top. He vaguely introduced us to two guys waiting up there who Spoke limited English, strapped us in without my explanation and off we went. Ride lasted about 15-20 mins and was great fun. If wind isn't there and you end up going down to the bottom rather than landing where you took off, there's a nice river you can swim in and a cafe so take some money and wear your swimming costume flying. Take lunch too! Cost us $1300 pesos plus we gave a small tip.

I had already visited the house many years ago, before it had the present guided tour. Musicales Lainez is one of a generation of very sophisticated Argentinian intellectuals of the second half of the XX century. The house is a testimony to that generation and it's astonishing dedication to culture, literature and a lifestyle dedicated to knowledge and study. The tour shows the main parts of the house where the writer lived and worked. I highly recommend the visit to anyone who visits the area and loves literature.

Although a little bit remote, definitely worth the trip out of Cordoba. The sanctuary does such an important job rehabilitating the monkeys - the volunteers are super dedicated and it was a lot of fun seeing the monkeys being fed.

While we were staying at La Cumbre, I decided we would go one afternoon to Dique San Jerónimo, which is about a 15 minutes drive from town.
The place is nice and quiet and there were only about ten people enjoying it.
After a while my three sons and me decided to take a walk around the place and we discovered not far from there a typical cordobean stream, with clear and cool water running fast among some rocks.
We found a kind of pool not more than five feet deep and we spent almost three hours there swimming, finding small rare stones and joking around.
Definitely it's worth to go there!

Small walk to the "Cristo", good view of La Cumbre, it's a bit crowdy. We went there by bicycle because tourism office told us that it's possible to continue the path by bicycle but it's false! Walkers only, and pants can be useful because of a lot of vegetation !

This magical stream coming down the mountain surrounded by white huge stones in which you can lay down and recharge your batteries has the fresh air and the clear fresh water with small fishes that you can see from your waste down clearly. There are corners full of MICA stone that you can collect as souvenir. Also bring your own toilette paper, picnic, water and sun lotion. There are only a couple of places that operate as "balnearios" (bathing places with some infrastructure for tourists). I recommend "La Olla" with nice wooden tables and benches under a roof in the shade and bathrooms available, there is a little charge of maybe U$8 per car for as long as you stay and it is worth it if you don't mind other people around you. The other option is going on your own along the river and find your own space which would be a bit adventurous and danger free. Guaranteed tranquility and peace. Highly recommendable.
No olvides traer tus toallas, picnic, agua y bronceador. Satisfacción y descanso garantizados en este lugar!

Estancia El Rosario was born in 1924 as a jam and biscuit factory. Nestled in the Cordoba hills, only 4 km from La Cumbre, it welcomes visitors to relax and enjoy its history, traditional visit to the factory, La Parrilla with its delicious beef and grilled vegetables (open only Jan & Feb 12 noon to 4pm), El Cafe and its friendly atmosphere (open daily 10am to 6pm). Also fun adventure games such as zip line, canopy, and climbing (open daily 10am-6pm only Jan, Feb, July and most bank holiday weekends). Visitors are welcome at Estancia El Rosario and our store every day from 10am to 6pm most of the year and 10am to 6pm Jan & Feb (summer holidays).
The Estancia El Rosario has been around forever, so kudos for standing the test of time. If you're in La Cumbre with kids on a rainy day it's a good thing to do, they show you how they make alfajores and you get a free...MoreGood morning! Thank you for taking time to write a review on Estancia El Rosario, it is much appreciated. Kind regards, Mary

I love riding horses but hate boring walking trail rides without any sense of adventure. That is not the case with Carmelo. He is so relaxed. We just walked up to his ranch and he took us riding then and there (he can highly recommended from our hosteria). He speaks only in Spanish but was patient and understood my mediocre spanish. His price was fantastic and he brought us on a 3 hour ride over the Christ Redeemer statue that was challenging but we never felt unsafe. His horses are well cared for. I asked for a mildly adventurous horse and he obliged and encouraged me to trot or canter whenever I wanted. The entire town greeted enthusiastically when we rode by. He says he has several rides and can tailor it to what you would like. Highly recommend.

Sculptor`s Matias Mischung`s Home Studio. Art made mainly on enameled chapa, wood and metal, giving new meaning to materials and shapes. Open all year around

This museum is really worth a visit. They have about 500 paintings of their resident painter, Miguel Ocampo. He was cultural attaché In Rome, Paris and New York and once retired from diplomatic service he settled in La Cumbre, where he painted for 30 years. As all of his work has not enough space, temporary Exhibitions are available at all times. During our visit the exhibition on the walls of the museum included pictures where influence of many famous painters (like Braque, Picasso, Bonnard, etc.) is mentioned. Entrance fee is only 50 pesos (about 2,5 dollars) and while this particlular show is not changed, the same entrance is still valid. When in La Cumbre do not miss to visit this place.
